Yeah we're done we -- more -- oh good -- -- this is our Internet shows Steve Shapiro has put together this beautiful photo book it's called then.

And now.

It if you think he's taken just a few photos in his life think again because you have been for charity that -- -- didn't talk to be since the 60s60.

Thumb.

-- had to stand on the cover you -- David -- -- -- -- soundproof -- herself like that I don't know it was well he was making a film that photographing David -- was amazing.

He had this incredible outfits.

And every time I would be about to photograph you would say wait a minute you go running into the dressing room come back twenty minutes later and something totally different I never shut the first one it's funny.

They ask me ask you about Dolly -- Dolly Parton I worked with her and nine to five and also -- I worked with certain other ways -- I like this picture because it's not the usual Dolly Parton picture it's it's really it's really a somber and I I think it.

I really like to get at the spirit of people in it and in a way this is another side of Dolly we don't always see she's going to be on our program tomorrow.

It it looks like you have a photographed everybody and -- I don't know if we have the rights to when you took the picture -- -- condition of the pictures he took a bunch pictures of Bo Woody Allen.

Oh -- -- you get that you got Marlon Brando.

And it's muggy this.

-- Jodie Foster in taxi driver this is Robert De Niro in taxi driver.

Now when you're when you're taking pictures of somebody who appears before the camera all the time do you give them directions on what you want -- to do or do you just say okay go out there being Bobby didn't -- Usually I don't and if you work with -- is extremely.

Don't -- -- becomes a collaboration.

And sometimes they have even better ideas than you do.

In the case of Barbra Streisand she certainly does and most of her.

Album covers have been really her her idea are totally.

But but basically my feeling is.

Do less that -- in the picture the better in the sense that I don't want my ego to be involved with that I'm tried to get at the spirit of a person and the more I can get them to be totally themselves.

And not to be involved with me who really should be a fly on the -- -- -- -- we're gonna do.

And it's so amazing Steve I don't know if you heard during the broadcast -- -- when I was talking to Steve Shapiro.

This photo of Mohammad Ali's when he is in his early twenty -- to anyone is running on an Cassius Clay if we can -- -- got his credit this photo now he is.

He's looking directly ended -- you see that little girl right there Steve.

That ends up being his wife this is that if you are still married to.

This is the exact first moment when they met and their eyes -- just a lot here there are these other kids around but you can see that -- this intense.

Connection between them where and it.

This is in Louisville, Kentucky right in front of his parents house at the time.

And she wrote you a letter just this past -- -- she didn't know what she found nothing -- actually took this phone she had it.

A cure which was sent to her in which he's sitting on the step near there and -- always wanted to do the photographer was.

Then that she found out and sent me a letter in which he explained the whole thing and -- I had a research and find this picture.

This picture was never printed -- to about three or four months ago we even though most of my Mohammed Ali pictures.

Have been that's beautiful amazing story you were you were talking a little bit ago about Barbara Streisand and she's you know she's a movie director so I would imagine that you know and you described how she kind of -- to control.

How many of the big stars one photo approval -- -- you take the picture but before anybody gets to see him I'm gonna tell you which ones you can and cannot show.

A lot of major stars do and then some really just say hey I trust you you know do whatever you want and you know I'm always very careful.

I'm really after this period of a person and that's what I want to convey in my photographs and people have worked with trust me a lot of -- -- -- ever.

Well why wouldn't they look at all these people thought of taking days off you you became renowned for your body Kennedy -- photos.

But there's one person that you would still want to photograph who -- That would be mean.

My friend Barack Obama who has seen Monday.

Bobby Kennedy pictures we always see your friend if actual friends -- that actually help him get better at.

He -- really -- right now that is you would like to take photos of President Obama right that would be fun yeah right I think we could do a good job.

Just -- the president or his whole family in the dog Q will do at all.

Well meetings -- right now in.

Maybe -- happen I can't imagine why he wouldn't take your call because everyone else has.

I don't know what Steve everybody watches this after the show show so look for a call from the White House.

Thank you very much.

-- let out a new book thank you very much gloom that's a perfect gift for Christmas.

Absolutely the perfect Christmas gift go right there on the coffee table leg that.

We don't use it as a win and a good I -- -- -- this book and a up because it's so gorgeous that if you don't mind.

A great meeting -- -- bright and clear I think here.

In our backyard.
