By the Obama administration is today defending -- possible plan to bring Guantanamo Bay detainees to the United States.

Well now Dianne Feinstein is defending her request for our report that talks about how we -- do it if only we will find the political well.

And as she looks at that report in the GA -- that is an administration organization releases its report.

We are hearing some heartbreaking stories from some victims' families who are very much opposed the idea.

Families -- -- warning about the dangers -- bringing these terrorists here on American soil.

Among them our next guest a man whose family became a victim in two separate terror attacks here in America.

One where his father was killed in the 1975.

Bombing of -- -- tavern in Manhattan.

And the other where his cousin Steve died on September 11 2001 -- was in the north tower working for Cantor Fitzgerald during the terror attack.

Turning now Joseph Connor he's also also the author of the new founders -- with me so.

-- by senator Feinstein has requested this report from the general accounting office on.

Could we do it can we transfer these prisoners a 170 yourself from gitmo on -- US soil.

And how much what it costs and what would -- take and the GAO has produced a report that says we can do it.

And -- report that says if the political will exists Dianne Feinstein says we can finally close gitmo without imperiling our national security your thoughts.

Well I think it's insane.

There's no reason to let these people back into the United States there there in a place now where we've paid.

Millions of dollars create gitmo will -- multi millions to bring -- back here.

The Supreme Court has ruled that they are enemy combatants they are not prisoners they can't be put in the regular prison population and we have to retrofit.

All our prisons that they might go to.

So from that perspective in a country that is has a fiscal cliff.

In front of us -- why would we from a money perspective get involved in not bringing them back here but there's lots more to -- -- that.

Well there is some speculation that.

She may be because apparently were reportedly she -- this report a long time ago years ago and it's just now being released now there's a question about why is that could be because.

She's gonna use the 114 million dollars we spend on gitmo.

As -- as an argument that look it needs to go we we shouldn't be spending a 114 million dollar but -- now want to talk about your concern because -- The House of Representatives has -- said you can't do it right -- -- we're not gonna provide the funding to bring those detainees back on American soil so that's why she's referring to political well.

But there's no guarantee these Republicans -- -- hold on to control of the house come the next mid term election.

And what is the argument against having them here separate and apart from the money well.

US here.

One of them is a guy named Oscar Lopez Rivera he was a leader the F -- and who killed my father.

And he was granted clemency by the clintons and their cold there -- to deputy attorney general at the time.

Oscar try to escape from prison twice.

One time.

With the they have bombs they had guns they were ready to kill the guards.

Feinstein one of -- arguments is that these.

Prisoners who were in prison now these terrorists -- imprisoned the US have never cause trouble have never been an issue.

And that's simply not true they bring a huge danger to the American people.

And there's no reason at this point to let them to let them now.

James Madison.

Said in seventy mediate turned the constitutional when -- ratifying it in Virginia he warned about the encroachment of the executive branch on the over the rest of the.

That the rest of our our congress.

And now we're seeing more and more that a congress has had the we cannot do that this legislation written that says we cannot do this however it is still.

It's out there and the way that they worked the way that it seems to work here is that once an idea comes out it's not let go of we might not care about again for -- -- But it it it the -- are -- And they -- to bring these people back.

Physically they say this would be really tough because we -- have -- overcrowding problem and I used prisons they say the they'd have to be segregated from the rest of the inmate population.

It and that could -- because other inmates beat triple -- according to the reports now I mean now lot of folks -- -- have a ton of sympathy for the people who find themselves in prison.

But you know that is a problem for the guards for the way we run our prison systems it cost money.

And so on and in the the argument of the size then they're flying down and get nominated -- -- well taken care of and it but but diet Dianne Feinstein and others believe it's become a political.

It's it's become -- political that it's used against us by our enemies having them there well it.

Just to bring them back here does not solve that what we're gonna find out if they come back here we're gonna hear from the left.

These people or in prison in the US they've not been convicted of any terrorism.

-- They are being treated differently than the other prisoners.

And let's let them out I guarantee you that's going to be the next this slippery slope that comes here once -- here.

And then the president could give them executive clemency as soon as Clinton.

Did the F failed to -- gonna say -- think that that could not happen you know that the president you have you have but I can't say that to you jell no you can't because it has happened it.

The -- never looked for the clemency they never requested that they actually didn't even accept it.

For thirty days and Oscar Lopez who I faced in tennis pro prison in patrol hearing in terra -- last year.

He turns it down.

So if the political will and I'll use that term -- -- and five cents turn to yourself that the political will the president or or a future president is to release these people.

That's what's gonna happen.

You were nine years old.

When your father died -- in January 24 thank you thank -- on your birthday when he was forty's after my birthday my brother turned eleven on the thirteenth I turned to nine on the on the twentieth.

And it was going to be your birthday celebration that night my mom puts it special meal for us and that's you on the left here home society and we -- My -- -- boats and their one of the lakes -- really used to like to go to and it's a great picture and I love -- pictures of beautiful picture dad has a great man and a beautiful family didn't deserve.

What he got and I am.

And I'm afraid that this in this met with Steve who -- has gotten his cousin Steve who was killed on 9/11 was is -- -- And you know I was in the trade center -- morning my brother was to be commuted through I was in my building when the planes hit I saw the planes hit from sixty Wall Street where I worked.

And it's I'll never forget and I was only blocks were my father was killed and -- so used to planes hit that killed Stephen got to go back to his family that night.

In New Jersey in the face my local who've been through twice.

And you know I know how we felt when Clinton released these guys and I can see this happening again we have to.

If we have to stop it now because if you don't.

It it's a slippery slope it will slow leak.

Don't gain momentum and you'll see in the next four years that we means least Joseph Connor thank you so much for being here thank you have had me make America -- and to you thank --
