And -- welcome back well we've been hearing about the war on women but what about the war on men our next guest says this is why marriage is on the decline you know just always -- -- get in on the act and I I guess we feel left out according to pew research just 51%.
Of adults were married in 2011 compared with 72% in 1960.
-- -- War on men to blame.
Joining us now told that the war on men anyway I didn't run for Suzanne Becker did she's the author of how to Tuesday -- -- And -- piece made marriage hi Suzanne.
Hi thanks for having me -- and we should mention you on FOX & Friends on Wednesday I believed you caused a bit of a firestorm.
A hornet's nest itself I love your.
Principles or let's just clarify.
Women aren't women anymore.
Right -- -- keep in mind.
I was quoting what men said so in that article I said.
Man said women are women anymore so that's one thing that's gotten kind of confuse -- what -- you -- is it like I don't kill the messenger -- -- -- so and that and and then I piggyback.
Half of that by saying that by suggesting that women surrender to their femininity and that's what people.
You know are confused about.
So the issue is that women have become.
Sort of over developed if you will in their masculine side because they've been groomed.
Two -- for several things number one for -- life and marketplace as opposed to a life at home.
And so of course.
That hole up plan is going to be very different in terms of what you're going to be tight and prepare for -- and what you're gonna be doing with your time in your life so.
I think women don't want to be at home and they want to have drowned out and they can't get married.
Absolutely yeah look at -- -- I would ever say that.
-- never -- such a thing do what -- what but the reality is that most people.
Do want to get married and have families and so what I'm trying to say is that that the road map that women are.
Being led to plan out map out for their life is not going to work for most women it's the ultimate goal is to have a.
Am -- men and marriage we saw this in New York City right women waiting to like they're fifty to get married and have kids in the right beyond what our clients or you know -- with -- -- -- it.
But is that a problem I mean and in his marriage and if -- I traditional idea of marriage suffering because women want to go further and further into the workplace.
-- -- -- -- -- Just suffering for a lot of reasons and it's important understand that this article that wasn't a whole kitten -- little it was just this is one.
Aspect of the problem that I've tapped into that I was sort of passing on a few well.
Now there's certainly more to this issue that's the purpose of my book how to choose a husband so this would just sort of a teaser.
But the whole attitude toward marriage in general for young people in particular.
Is such a negative one and that's really the premise that I'm concerned about because when you start out thinking so negatively and being taught things like never depend on a man.
And postpone marriage as long as possible not that there's a thing wrong with postponing it.
But with that attitude going forwards you're probably gonna end up with a -- a filling prophecy we need to turn it around and say.
This is a good thing.
Marriage well I don't -- me -- but Governor Huckabee on our show yesterday disagree with you a little bit on this and take us.
Champagne he shed some light I think you've cleared some of this out here's governor on Saturday.
We come to the place where were almost afraid to admit that there's a difference.
As the French would say -- -- defrost.
The fact is god made -- different than women opposite race in the southern boy where.
Got -- Italy and if you walked lady you walked on the street side in the lady out on the inside you opened doors.
At any other times you do that and -- -- looks that you like I I'm not helpless something I'm not talk about her helpless I value I elevate you.
What do you think -- what the governor said there.
So I want to know is wrong with that why is that a bad thing that is something that has gotten lost over the years.
With this site notion of equality that men and women are exactly the same when they are not the saying they are huge differences between them.
And that whole idea being protective of you know women and children in particular going back to the Titanic for example who were the first people off the ship -- women -- the children.
That's because they were elevated as being sort of sit here in a way to man.
So there are two different ways of looking at the same issue of equality between the sexes and the one that I'm bringing forward is just.
-- it only sounds shocking because people are used to hearing it.
That's really the issue it's about looking it's by flipping a sweat and looking at this issue differently.
-- -- book is how to choose a husband and make peace of marriage obviously very thought provoking.
Suzanne anchor great to have you on we could talk about this hour the.
Let us know at it and thank you Suzanne let us know how you feel about this out there FF weekend on Twitter do you agree with her position you disagree we'll maybe we'll talk Wimbledon later down the alleged YouTube debate that -- -- show show coming up at no -- this season.
