Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Maria -- -- from the fox extreme weather center with your forecast for the northwest.

And also portions of the northern plains in over the weekend we really had to deal with a lot of rain -- across portions.

-- the West Coast specifically across portions of northern Californian also parts or again.

Well we got some very heavy rain some mountain snow and even some very strong winds.

So when -- reported over a hundred miles an hour along some coastal areas -- and some very significant weather pattern that was in place.

Now for today we do have a much quieter weather pattern across coastal areas but we do have a brand -- storm system.

That will be arriving as we head into Tuesday and even into Wednesday -- more heavy rain.

More wind and even more -- in snow before today again.

A pretty quiet day out across both the northwest and even into parts of the northern plains there are some areas of rain across northern plains.

But the big story out here is really how mild these temperatures are gonna -- for today.

Fifty degrees very high temperature over north Platt 55 in Rapid City.

Fifties in Montana and even low forties for the city of -- so he's temperatures are really not too bad when you're taking into consideration now we are in a month.

54 -- -- Seattle 51.

Over in Portland their arsenal lingering showers and across portions of Seattle or Portland -- doing any driving on the five keep that in mind.

Maybe have some slowdowns here and there on the roadways otherwise across northern plains a quick moving system will produce some showers -- earlier in the morning you'll be drying things out.

As -- -- -- later in the day on Monday can see as we head into even Tuesday a pretty quiet day as far as any rain -- goes in the northern plains but a completely different story.

As we head west -- across portions of the northwest Tuesday into your Wednesday with very heavy rain need to see that mountain snow spreading as Far East.

As portions of the northern Rockies in Montana Idaho and even into Wyoming so we could be looking at some accumulations out here and some dangerous conditions.

On the roadways -- doing any driving along mountain passes out here so keep that in mind stormy weather does return.

As we head into -- and Wednesday for now enjoy the quieter weather.
