It cuts 2.2 trillion dollars from the deficit over ten years.

That number also includes.

Entitlement reforms.

Raising the age for social security and Medicare and so forth.

As well as 800 billion dollars that they say they would throw into the pot in new tax revenue that would come from tax reform from cutting.

Tax loopholes and the like.

Thanks for having me.

See it clear number out there -- -- all kinds of response across the board this morning saying that it is you know equally laughable and ridiculous there's no way that the White House is gonna counter that offer.

What do you think about that.

Well I think that's that because think about what this president said when he campaign.

He said he wanted a balanced approach he said he wanted 800 billion in revenue and eight had a billion revenue we provide.

We also provide that balance approach we wanted two and a half cuts to three times as many -- we provide that we meet his criteria.

Erskine Bowles when he went before the super committee said that exact same thing with these numbers so we took the structure of the president's words and we -- -- in.

The when we made our first offer right after the election.

It took three weeks before the White House responded to us when Geithner came down with his proposal which no one agrees to -- the Democrats.

We quickly have doubts that this back we wanna get this done we do not want to go off the fiscal -- we don't wanna stop changing that the goal line.

So -- the White House is saying obviously is that they will not do any deal that does not include what was one of their number one campaign.

It motivations and slogans and that was that taxes must go up the tax rate must go up.

On the -- so what are you gonna do with that.

That the president's anyone revenues were provided revenues is -- thanks -- actually -- must go up and are you saying that there is no way still that that would happen.

Not even a slight -- -- it.

New taxes are coming out -- -- obamacare we'll continuing attacks and individuals were harming our growth.

Can we get the revenue the president asked yes we can with protecting the growth in the economy and that's what we provide it to the president.

The president continues to change the goal post along this process we think what has to happen here now it that if we agreed to revenue.

Let's talk about the -- approaching the two and a half times of the spending cuts the president won't talk about that and -- proposal.

He offers a new stimulus program what he's now spending even more right.

Think if I had -- -- huge you know but both sides are pretty well staked out here -- the question is what's gonna happen.

Are you all going to find a way to to -- a sort of come forward a little bit perhaps you might say.

Well you know we'll raise taxes on those who make over a million dollars or 500000 dollars a lot of people think that that's where the negotiation.

Is gonna happen here.

Is it are you willing to do anything in that direction.

That Republicans are willing to make sure we don't go over this fiscal cliff but at the same time.

Don't harm this economy what has to happen here's the president shows a little leadership were willing to sit in the room were willing to stay here we're willing to get this done.

That's why you saw a proposal that's reasonable that meets his criteria that sets out with.

Let me ask yourself -- -- -- -- in your proposal there are some changes to Medicare.

In terms -- increasing the age of eligibility if the White House were to come back and say.

We would go along with some of those changes which stay in the past I should point out -- as you well know have said that that's not negotiable so if they were willing to do that.

Would you be willing to give them tax revenue which they seem to be you know committed to getting.

It doesn't -- -- they want it is an increased tax rate it is that lays a negotiation of those two things were to happen.

Understand what's transpiring here the president said of the campaign trail he won -- 800 billion in revenue.

We're providing him 800 billion in revenue we have talked about this revenue issue we respect -- -- and no rain until we're not there then my brains and just got it.

There's been no discussion on and cuts.

And let's talk about the spending of America the government we've got to get this under control the president said he wanted to balance approach two and half times he hasn't offered any -- Actually -- -- -- and you know is sounds like you still believe you have a lot of leverage and that you will not move on rates is that correct.

The Republicans have moved a great deal who was the first person right after the election was the speaker who went down.

And provided the revenue that's something you had not heard of before.

When is this president offered any of the spending cuts.
