It's never too early to do certain things shop for Christmas plan for retirement.

And apparently run for president chief political correspondent Carl Cameron is back with this tonight and looks at a couple of the top Republican contenders.

For the next election site.

Has Republicans digest Mitt Romney's 2012 defeat former running mate Paul Ryan and former surrogate Marco Rubio the Florida US senator.

Are openly joking about it already testing messages for the 2016 GOP race for the presidential nomination -- -- policy at the reunion dinner table for two you don't get diners in New Hampshire Iowa -- -- -- -- -- Paul thank you -- in detention for lunch and Iowa New Hampshire.

But I will not stand by and watch the people South Carolina ignored.

Rubio received the second annual Jack Kemp foundation award last night Ryan -- protege received the first award last year.

Ryan mentioned fighting poverty fifteen times last night.

And distanced himself from -- infamous remark about the 47% who don't pay federal income taxes in both parties.

Ten to divide Americans into our voters and they -- voters.

Let's be really clear Republicans must steer far clear of that -- Rubio emphasized expanding the GOP's big tent describing voters he says will determine the future of the country and the GOP it all starts with our people.

In the kitchens of our hotels.

No landscaping crews that work in our neighborhoods.

In the late night shift not in the late night janitorial shifts that clean our offices.

That's where you'll find the dreams in America was built on Ryan urged Republicans to set aside partisan considerations in order to revive the economy and put people back to work.

But the election they didn't go our way.

In the Republican Party can't make excuses.

We can't spend the next four years on the sidelines.

So instead.

We must find new ways to apply our timeless principles to the challenges of the day.

One of the biggest challenges facing Republicans politically is the 2012 drubbing they took what Latino voters rubio whose parents were Cuban refugees said this morning that Latinos are not monolithic but what the same things all Americans do -- if -- put it explicitly in a campaign context.

That's what they're looking for people that understand.

The issues and anxieties that they face in the hopes that they have and an offer real and concrete.

Policy solutions and a real role for government and appropriate role for government to play in addressing those anxieties that they face.

And so I think that we're one election away from being able to do that.

Rubio and Ryan are among more than a dozen Republicans considering 2016.

And at least a couple already have paid advisors who specialize in White House races.

And on the democratic side a new Washington Post ABC new poll news poll says 57% of Americans would support Hillary Clinton.

While 37% said they -- -- vice president Joseph -- is also hit it about running and among a handful of other Democrats the governors of both new York and Maryland.

Are also openly looking at it bread and no it's not too early.

We have time to talk about -- time -- Carl thanks.
