Spotlight on small businesses we find business owners and entrepreneurs who have found a way to thrive in this very tough economy.

We're joined today by Rebecca you -- Smith president of Rebecca -- designs and a very special aspect of her company.

So is this I I found your story so fascinating because you didn't start out to be a product of designer that's not your training right.

Now I have background in education.

And your husband has a degree in economics.

He does and when when when you went to women said that you wanted to what expand the line.

Yeah -- he said to me can't keep doing this yourself so we decided that really in earnest.

Make an attempt to make this become a company and we've been very successful at that than it's -- -- -- of fun again -- I just find -- so fascinating because you took aspects of the things that your interest to be in for instance equestrian events.

And decided that that might be kind of uninteresting business.

It is it's -- -- that we.

Found in the market and we felt that there was -- need out there for an American made product that would that.

This being benched made and made by hand with lots of integrity in a very off panic.

Offering and and we did find that the -- we suspected without there is indeed there and our clients are very loyal to us and your workers are primarily on the issue is that correct today and they are we've been able to give jobs to quite a few women and our local community as well as in Eastern Pennsylvania.

-- gentleman who make all -- our other products are harness makers.

So when they're not making -- RA designs they're making harness for -- the.

So -- so they are especially the women are able to stay home care for their children as is traditionally up in the Amish community.

But also and do some work and and earn a good living on the side.

And they hour and we we love to be able to do that.

For them they've been with us along timing and it's important to them to stay home with their children hasn't important.

Or all women on -- -- -- in this business and we are juggling households and families and children.

And we all understand what it takes to be able to do that and as you know it's not simple flow and were really enjoying doing that it's also not simple to make a business succeed in any economy like this how are you finding conditions out there.

We know the condition -- -- have been great we were able to started business in a time when innovation with very low.

And so we were fresh -- new on the scene we've been very grassroots.

And working at three is social media we have a wonderful blog we have a great web site.

And our clients -- -- -- to select made in America products says I'm sure your viewers are as well it's important to them.
