Actually it started -- The the obvious crisis that.
Became apparent to me in the US we have 5% of the world's population.
And -- 25% of the world's prison population.
And all this is starting with young people today and and they get into this cycle of it.
To break the cycle -- began helping children succeed against all law it's.
He understands that developing character through mentoring helps each child become a great -- The reward is by far more valuable than the alternative of crime and prison.
Is I looked at it through the country it averages 125 and 65000 a year to incarcerate somebody.
We take here but the kid for a thousand dollars a year let's build clubs not.
As a child growing up Rick like many kids today face some difficult challenges I left home when I was sixteen years old so.
It really came as a result of I've seen.
That I am the first that ever want to college and my family my father had a tenth grade education and.
Now that is a successful leader of a global company.
Rick has not forgotten to give back.
Along with his wife he created the Rick and Susan goings foundation to provide scholarship money for the Boys and Girls Club winner of the youth of the year award.
I really wanted to thank Tupperware Brands for all of their support it Rick insisting -- as they mentioned and really there have been amazing people in this foundation in.
Setting you know 50000 dollars scholarship -- he's very helpful as I really thank you -- that.
And Rick a lot of people are thanking you will be on -- just a Boys and Girls Club you're good example of how corporate Americans show there -- And support for caring and sharing through civic and community engagement.
