Holidays -- time forgiving and also the perfect time to remember those who have sacrificed for our country.

That wouldn't warrior project lend a helping hand injured soldiers returning from war joining us now.

Donnelly -- -- staff to the wounded warrior project and Dustin Constantine when you were and number of the organization's board of directors welcome to both great to have you here thank you.

And how much I don't wanna start with you give this to sort of an overview about what wounded -- -- us.

Well I'm happy to do and thank you for giving us the opportunity to be on on television with you we have eighteen direct programs that we provide direct support to wounded warriors your round.

I don't think we have the time to talk about all they can insulate I'd like to do is to say that each of these programs is consistent with our mission to honor and empower won't -- -- And it's also consistent with the promise we make every American right to check large -- small that we will spend their money wisely and they can trust what we do with their money.

A rating programs -- divided into four major areas engagement mind body and economic empowerment.

Engagement is.

Pretty much what it sounds like and we -- we engage with warriors initially -- one of three places bedside at the hospital.

On campus.

Or in the transition units.

And we can engage -- with our iconic backpack or at any kind of an event the barbecue for families things like that.

Once we have them register with us every program we have this is absolutely no cost two -- we never asked the -- for any money.

We asked them to stay with us for as long as they'd like ideally for the rest of their lives and our engagement we focus on mental health.

So we have weekend retreats for -- warriors for spouses.

We have weekend retreats for their caregivers.

And that care extends all the way through to the point where we -- work with the Culinary Institute of America on healthy living.

We have cycling events to give them -- healthy lifestyle.

And then in addition to that.

We try to work with them on their transition to civilian life.

To get a good job to become a good productive citizen.

And to move on with goals aspirations and dreams.

Of late we we have a couple of issues like to mention if you don't mind.

We've partnered with operation homefront which is an organization whose mission is to provide financial emergency financial assistance to individuals.

This is an area we had not gotten into directly.

But the partnership with operation home front especially at this time of year will enable warriors who need financial assistance to take advantage of that.

And we do have a very active grants program we have the window is open for people to apply for grants.

And it's for organizations that have activities are consistent with our mission and our values.

But might be in in locations or in venues where we are not currently located so anybody who -- represents an organization whose interest -- that should go to war website.

And and explore that opportunity -- well.

It sounds like a very holistic approach on many fronts and Justin for -- the experience has been very personal tell us about that.

Well that it has -- that.

How I've -- -- -- -- beginning that if it's on the programs and John talked about ten shooting gauged him when I.

Have I want my surgeries I was impatient -- so I came back.

And me and my wife and I saw there was a teacher there front and went nowhere project.

And -- -- hadn't heard of them but I was really.

Move it back to something I didn't know that you're trying to come visit me -- -- it's still out there in America people -- how we were doing.

And our coverage and so I feel how to -- that teacher regularly are going to -- -- very therapeutic actually -- Blair met.

The person who lost their -- had a chance to thank him.

And -- also his -- on the bike -- John talked about golf outings.

Another my wife my -- was.

-- round to nowhere project called restore which is a series of webinars to help others with posttraumatic stress.

And there are -- we -- learn -- their caregivers who help without.

And I was hanging out wards across the country is an access to see where she kept us that we have -- overcoming post traumatic stress -- when it.

You have a lot to me it was very emotional filming actually -- -- too hard and not knowing where helping so many -- across country.

We know -- and physical of -- psychological and the vocational getting people back to work and a website is at the air because that's the biggest question we get from our viewers they wanna help out.

Support wounded warrior project dot org is -- support dot W.

We're not going to -- -- -- -- to wounded warrior project -- on origin and then there that'll get him there and it is all sorts of options the other thing is.
