Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Maria Molina from the fox and -- weather center with your forecast for the northeast and also portions of the Great Lakes.

And high temperatures today really now warming up a whole lot across portions of the midwest we're expecting highs only into the teens.

In the city of Minneapolis 37 -- in Chicago and 38 degrees in the city of Detroit -- eastward.

Too bad across portions of the -- five quarter this December we've seen much worse.

Upper forties in Boston in New York City 52 degrees -- high temperature in DC but that is a little bit cooler than what you had to deal with yesterday.

And it is going to be a little breezy we do have -- and getting cold front across the northeast so.

Those breezy conditions are gonna make some of these temperatures feel a little bit cooler -- -- need a heavier jacket that when -- had yesterday yesterday we saw high temperatures.

Into the sixties.

Across portions of the tiny five quarter otherwise those lingering showers early this morning across portions Abbas and the behind this system than any drying things out and also clearing things out with many places.

Expecting to see some sunshine but if you live right off the lakes you're actually gonna have to deal with some lake effect snow -- course very typical after we get these cold front is moving on and it got cold water.

Over the relatively warmer lake water reduces lake effect -- -- portions of western Michigan we'll be dealing with that.
