And this is -- -- -- Susan Rice the US ambassador to the United Nations withdrew her name from consideration to be the next secretary of state.

In a letter to President Obama over rice broke quote I am fully confident that I could serve our country ably and effectively in that role.

However if nominated I am now convinced that the confirmation process would be lengthy.

Disruptive and costly to you and to our most pressing national and international priorities.

That trade off is simply not worth it to our country.

This comes in the wake of Republican lawmakers expressing opposition rice has potential nomination because of comments she made just five days.

After four Americans were killed in a blatant terrorist attack in Ben -- back in September.

Now ambassador rice five days later blamed all of the violence on -- YouTube video -- all the evidence of the time show this was absolutely not true.

-- President Obama responded to rice's letter earlier today and said the attacks on ambassador rice.

In recent weeks have been both unfair and misleading.

But get this in typical fashion the media has jumped in NBC news specifically to rice's defense continued their false narrative that any criticism of car.

Is not rooted in -- false testimony but braces up you know another dog whistle watch this.

I think that this had become.

Sort of an impossible challenge for her to be confirmed that she realized that the White House realized it as well.

I think they know that they are on good political solid ground as you were just pointing out this is not going to be.

And he's not gonna help Republicans that off.

The fact that a woman and woman of color has been forced out of a confirmation process even before she was nominated.

Join me now with reaction author of victory Yorktown former speaker of the house Newt Gingrich.

I'm doing very very well and I couldn't help a smile just now that have started -- The Republican Party did nominate Colin Powell who became secretary of state.

They did nominate.

Condoleezza Rice who became secretary of state.

We seem to me that on those grounds -- -- pretty hard to come back and say that the senators who have problems we're doing so for either.

Racial or sexual reasons they clearly have -- -- passed a willingness to work with them for African Americans of both male and female and I actually think it would not be a bad idea.

For pres Obama to seriously consider.

Seeing of Colin Powell would come back out of retirement because -- did endorse him and know that might be a bipartisan steps.

That would move us in -- direction of a different kind of dialogue that will really get it was just stay with kind of left wing policies.

You know it's -- it's it -- -- the evidence was overwhelming it was incontrovertible.

In this particular case.

But that the Democrats that the campaign never stops for that there's no time for any governing here whatsoever.

It seems that they want to humiliate crushed divide and hurt the Republican Party.

Am I wrong.

As I observe the fiscal -- and and all these attacks that never ending war on women never ends.

Got out I was a big fan and and the room very very impressed.

With coach wouldn't use the full court press at UCLA.

One of the most remarkable basketball dynasties in history.

And if you don't play against the full court press you better learn to run a full court press.

It is an objective fact that we now live in an age where a Chicago style machine.

-- trying to establish a permanent 24 hour a day 365.

Day year campaign.

And we just better learn how to do how to cope with and how to be involved with a the fact is in the case of ambassador rice.

She is the person was agreements with the president.

She was sent out by the president to say things that were false she was used for five shows -- one Sunday.

To tell the American people some -- -- not true.

And I think if she has come play with anybody -- ought to be the President Obama who sent her out there.

Using her politically even though she was the UN ambassador.

Are you always have an interest thing -- take take on the events of the day.

So we we have all of these incidents of violence that have occurred occupy we see the left of these -- Eight G-20 summits.

Now we saw Stephen Crowder who works here punched in the face -- ten knocked down.

And I want to get your take on all of this because the silence.

From president civility is deafening here because they are his allies after -- -- -- -- with them.

Well I think frankly in a number of cases particularly in terms of threats of violence in Michigan.

I would hope that the governor of Michigan would call on the president to ask his allies to behave in a civil indecent manner there's no justification.

Four.

People threatening violence I think one of the democratic state senators in Michigan said that there will be blood what kind of comment is that.

From an elected official and -- is -- being tolerated.

I also think the networks and the New York Times -- have a real obligation to cover union violence when it occurs and not hide it so.

I think you're raising a good point it's one that we should be aggressive.

In demanding that the president call on his allies to exercise discipline incivility right.

You remember during the Tea Party rally just that you just -- -- about the media and the media was searched high and low end.

And they'd be looking for.

Something negative that the Tea Party movement was saying -- Usually they were kids on -- dad's shoulders and making -- patriotic speeches say the pledge of allegiance sing god bless America and leave the place cleaner than when they found it.

So I ask you through this prism.

As we compare this to the Tea Party.

Now there was a vendor in the tent a hot dog guy spend working there for sixteen years I interviewed this man on my radio program.

They ruined his equipment knocked over his food and -- play the rest -- Date -- that can't speak out there they added.

It was under the can't cable -- I'd -- It's chilly.

-- mind you it's those.

They did it was an -- OK yeah make it chilly yeah they're big underground.

Take on any word yet they -- me.

Analyst Tom ways to -- -- -- -- -- And I got explained to him actually it.

What did you do it doubt.

-- pretty -- agreed to do it got to be doing I don't and that's why I was the that he area I'm not known yet that I'm -- here.

And so it really made it -- -- yet so.

So you are hired to do a job and so they purposely started destroying your equipment calling you the N word and uncle Tom and -- other side.

Didn't hear hear the media didn't cover the violence.

If this was a Tea Party rally.

Or the reaction -- in the media.

Calming and notably and -- this again as part of a total bias of the modern media.

In protecting the left everywhere I can't I would hope that a couple conservative lawyers listen to that on your -- Saturday would go to him an -- to represent him pro Bono.

And file a suit for damages against the people because I suspect there are pictures of -- they are.

And I suspect that there are vulnerable to being sued and I think we need to learn to use the left some techniques against it but I think we've got to be much more aggressive.

And raising the issue of violence on the left.

And in demanding that it be policed the people be arrested when necessary and that the president has a role to play here.

And now calling on his own allies to exercise restraint and to be disciplined and recognize the rule of law what do you.

How do you interpret occupy this labor violence the G-20 summit how do you interpret that.

Coming from the left and the language of the left which neither you or I would ever get away -- Five -- might think that what you have is a movement on offense.

Which is desperately trying to change America -- which is trying to browbeat and ridicule and intimidate the rest of us into putting up with.

Anti democratic.

Oppression by very militant small groups.

And I think that we have to prove.

There were prepared when necessary to use the police were prepared were necessary to file lawsuits and then went -- and we're gonna go after.

So these -- two big losses for the president.

I mean because the president.

Big supporter of big labor went -- the day before and then the legislature.

You know pass right to work which by the way ends legalize stealing I'm not talking about rank and file members I'm talking about union leadership.

They shouldn't be spending rank and file money on political campaigns and then Susan Rice the president tried to stand up -- -- but that didn't work either.

Did it should we interpret that as it relates to negotiations with the president.

Well I've -- I think negotiations it's not the -- talk about but I would say.

-- what we're seeing is that natural balance of things President Obama won a victory that was a big victory as an impressive victory I think that in that you could -- -- Having won a victory though -- -- back to reality.

The long term trend in America's towards greater productivity.

Less unionism.

Public reaction against -- compulsory unionism.

And the ambassador rice misled the entire country in public and she couldn't withstand the scrutiny of having lied to the American people.

I what would come back we have some Barack Obama is best friends those don't lecture us on the need to pay more taxes.

Guess what they're finding tax shelters in places like Bermuda.

And does some of them are using every loophole imaginable one of -- was warm Buffett -- get your take on that as we continue with former speaker of the house Newt Gingrich.
