Now we get to the gruesome details that occurred on this site.

Right around this time on Friday morning Rick Leventhal my colleague with me again this morning and Rick we now the mother Nancy was shot four times in the head.

And found in her own home still wearing her pajamas.

And that's where we believe investigators will pick up today what is the focus now as we start this day -- -- Build -- primary focus for investigators determining what might have propelled this troubled twenty year old.

To shoot his own mother and then gone down 26 other incident it -- -- -- we have learned.

Through family and friends and -- -- Had a form of autism known as Asperger's that he was troubled that he spent most of his time inside the family home.

And that Friday morning he woke up.

Went to his mother's bedroom.

And shot her several times in the head before taking four of her weapons taking her car and driving -- nearby sandy hook elementary school where he then gunned down six adults and -- -- -- children all aged six.

And seven we know that investigators are poring over a smashed computer that they found in the family home.

Also going through phone and credit card records.

Looking for any and all types of clues that might lead to some sort of answers here but there may not be -- as you know bill.

We do have heard that the mother so curse on shooting that's where he learned how to shoot apparently the weapons that her mother.

Legally owned but beyond that investigators have a lot of questions -- -- answer.

It's extraordinary to think about the amount of devastation that was -- and ten minutes or less according to police.

And we've been hearing from police that this could have been.

Even worse than we know it today how -- that possible for a.

Well he was carrying a very powerful.

Bushmaster 223 -- -- AR fifteen military style assault weapon it's the most powerful gun.

In America I think Kerry's thirty round -- she apparently went through several of those had several more clips -- -- use.

Other.

Along with a couple of handguns hundreds of rounds of -- spent bullets on his person.

When police were closing in here's what we learned from lieutenant Paul -- yesterday.

The weapon that was utilized.

Mean most of the time during this horrific crime.

Was identified as a bush -- -- that high capacity magazines.

In addition to that the subject that -- possession a -- ten millimeter.

Police told us that when they were closing in when they arrived at the school and we're closing in on Adam went -- that's when he -- one of the handguns to put a bullet in his own head bill.

Also there were hundreds of rounds of ammunition found inside that school.

That -- -- left either on his person or in that classroom that went unused.

Now police have been very cautious on these press conferences a lot of information frankly went out on Friday and Saturday.

But that has not proven to be true and a lot of information was pulled back.

I thought the information they gave out last night was precious and few.

When it came to facts do we believe through the I guess through the benefit of time that we could learn more.

From this briefing today or can we answer that were.

Absolutely and and in any of these kind of investigations.

They tried to.

Keep many of the facts to themselves.

As they process it did -- is released on Friday a lot of there was a lot of confusion even among investigators.

Including some of the federal sources that I was speaking with about.

Exactly how these events played out but what we do know now is that this young man woke up killed his mother went to school and then executed everyone else before killing himself.

Investigators may release more information about what they found in the family home what they found in these computer records.

Will weather this young man may have left behind some sort of manifest or made any threats online before carrying out this attack.

Wolf hopefully find out sometime in the next hour or so -- And I think you would agree through the Paul Vance has been an outstanding.

Law enforcement officer of advocate for the people here Connecticut since this ordeal began and we will see him in my one other but what -- -- -- -- -- thank you.

Are not going back to sandy hook they will go to a different classroom different set of class and at another school in another district and there's talk -- that sandy hook.
