Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Maria Molina from the fox -- weather center with your forecast for the northeast.
And also portions of the Great Lakes and today is -- -- be a relatively mild they had across northeast of temperatures really not too bad.
Lincoln citadel -- basically looking at Christmas already next week or so in the upper fifties and DC sixty over north fake.
And in New York City temperatures regional fifties throughout the afternoon hours it will be a little bit breezy out there's that could feel cold and -- monitor -- at times.
-- -- interior portions of the northeast a little cooler as well temperatures in the forties for Pittsburgh Syracuse and even as far west.
As a city of Chicago and also in Detroit now.
We're actually already officially broken that record in Chicago as far as the longest period of time that you are not going to be seeing any accumulating -- far haven't seen any accumulating snowfall but that could be changing we're going to be seeing.
And he storm just in developing across the plains -- -- the next couple of days of course.
We'll keep you posted on that but as far as another storm system that's already -- -- portions of the northeast right now.
Did produce some areas of heavier rain across New York City Philadelphia and across mid Atlantic.
And -- really yesterday and into the overnight hours today -- actually drying things out -- you're gonna start to see a little bit of sunshine especially later on day.
Interior portions of northeast still dealing with the areas of rain -- early this morning in Pittsburgh buffalo.
And also as we -- further -- -- -- to north across basically places in New England.
-- across northern -- temperatures are cold enough that we're going to be seeing some snow when he could quite significant at times.
It really won't be over until we head into early Wednesday morning across some air some -- your areas.
And even later on the day across higher elevations in some accumulations out there.
Could actually exceed half a foot of snow in some places could see as much as a foot of snow.
Or even eighteen inches and again that's really along higher elevations of northern portions of a state of Maine.
As we head north actually westward there's a look at that next storm system already producing rain and also areas of snow across portions of the midwest.
And into parts of Wisconsin in the upper Great Lakes Chicago.
As far as a feature radar goes and these hours it does look like you're gonna see relatively on the rainy side of the storm systems basically where temperatures will be too warm.
But that's -- -- and the back end of that system so we could see that -- around and eventually dump some snow across city of Chicago we need it we are in a snow -- Otherwise -- northeast seeing relatively quiet ahead of that next storm system.
As we head to basically -- Wednesday and also into early Thursday so New York City really -- -- mid Atlantic.
You're expecting a little bit of a stretch.
