Hi everyone I'm meteorologist -- when we now from the fox fishing weather center with -- forecast for the northwest.

And how some portions of the midwest and -- today it's going to be a very chilly day out across parts of the west we're talking about temperatures.

That I below what's average for this how many years -- you really gonna need to bundle up to -- head outdoors.

Across Montana why no meaning and across parts of the Rockies Salt Lake City on the cool side.

31 degrees Fahrenheit temperature at 29 over in Casper and also in -- city of Billings.

Even coastal areas are looking at temperatures -- a little bit cooler today like in Seattle thirty degrees for high temperature and only 35.

In the city of Medford northern plains not too bad for this time of the year thirty over Bismarck.

And a high temperature at forty in Rapid City we do have some snow showers swinging -- portions of the northern plains but a more significant storm system right now.

Is impacting parts of the coastal areas of the Pacific northwest you can see that snow coming out across parts of Washington and Oregon specially coastal areas.

And the cascade range and even some rainfall and temperatures are pretty cold as some of that snowfall is making it down.

In two pretty low elevations out here you factor in the winning your -- -- -- very dangerous driving conditions out there.

We're gonna have a brief break as we head into Tuesday or later hours of Tuesday but by Wednesday morning our next storm system arrives.

And this one is -- meat packing a punch a lot of snow with this next storm system expected for the cascades -- even all the way down into parts of northern California but it's -- we head into Thursday.

And also a lot of heavy rain across coastal areas so.

Big time travel -- will be coming up here as -- heading into -- week and also the end of the work week.

Across the Pacific northwest northern Rockies you're gonna see relatively quiet but another disturbance will also be -- -- portions of the central Rockies in Utah and Colorado.

Throughout the day leader on Tuesday and also into early Wednesday but by later Wednesday that storm system will be swinging into portions of the planes it's -- -- -- just a quick shot of snow across parts of -- central Rockies good news.

For -- skiers not good news though for anyone trying to do any traveling out there across some on mountain passes.
