It lies in the brave students that survived that day.

Last Friday morning Jeanne -- discovered a group of students in his driveway near the sandy -- elementary school.

But it was not until he brought them inside comforting them with stuffed animals and some juice that he learned exactly.

What they had just been through.

He was so inspired by their perseverance in the face of such tragedy he is sharing the lessons he learned from these young survivors.

Take a story if you would you you you walk outside -- your door you're about to go get some breakfast and what did you see at the into the driveway.

I saw I saw six children at the end of the driveway.

And I saw a man.

Speaking kind of harshly to them -- a loud voice saying it's going to be all right it's going to be all right.

And I thought it was let's get our players said cub scouts were rehearsing.

They were sitting in a very orderly way.

And I I had no clue.

That anything it happen.

When I start getting closer to them.

I could see the distress.

And the fear.

And the disorder than just witness that seemed out of -- And there was a school bus driver with them and I said come on inside promoted side.

And they just.

Followed me how did you first learn and who has four little girls and two little boys that they had just run.

Literally from Victoria so -- classroom.

A teacher who was killed in front of them.

I didn't learn about it till around fifteen minutes or twenty minutes.

Into that I stay at my house.

I brought down my grandsons.

Stuffed animals.

And they play good -- they didn't say very much.

I brought of some -- And then they seem to -- cauldron and we went to a different role.

And then it all started unfolding.

And it started this way.

This boy said.

We can't go back.

We can't go back to the school.

We can't go back we don't have -- teacher.

We can go back and they kept repeating that.

Like I could not -- what they were saying.

He could not calculated what they were saying.

And then one of them said.

-- -- -- We can't go back.

And -- photos dead.

And I think one of the girls said.

There was blood -- about it she fell down.

And then somehow they escaped.

And they did.

I don't know the details of their escape.

I don't know how they escaped.

But they must have run some portion of the road.

That.

Is next to the -- and was picked up where picked up.

By a school bus driver.

And I I don't know how they escape.

But until I saw.

Victoria's -- both David the casualty list.

I -- could not believe it.

Because it was about -- They they were inches within inches of dying themselves and and it was moments after when when they were in your home all -- what was their aspect of -- kids they.

-- so resilient they don't.

They don't understand evil the way we do in the donors and horror the way we do so what was their aspect when they -- with you.

Well that they -- initially kind of agitated of them.

The stuffed animals seemed to called them down.

And then they told their story.

And it.

Just was still hard to believe.

And then.

-- god it's fed down a little Angel there was a respite from the terror.

And one -- the boys.

Who must be a very assertive clever.

Direct boy.

He said he changed his composure -- you but -- visited.

And instead.

Saying in your house is very soon.

Ball.

And I -- -- all the government chemical food.

Brought -- out of hell -- for just stumbled.

And I'll never forget that team and by.

My.

My desire.

Is to have the -- just called me to reunite.

With these children.

A jury today Albert had to be -- the of the.

It's allowed them and -- let them know.

That all help them find the light.

Because they were in the darkness.

That's what my hope.

-- -- What what happened in terms of contacting their parents -- mean.

They that the parents of these children were frantic that afternoon and of course I'm sure the children one -- nothing more than to see their moms and dads as soon as they could how did you.

Make those phone calls how did that happen.

Well we start calling their numbers -- they told us their numbers but we would get their home phone.

And a school bus driver had the presence of lied to -- supervisor.

Who -- had.

There -- contact list there all the details of their contract.

And then that -- she -- colleague the parents from -- office I assume that the parents god coveted.

And when they get a -- I felt so joyful.

I felt more joyful that I can ever tell you admitted there was a high should the -- and I think that kids spoke.

The very haltingly and quietly.

As if they were -- it's very good.

A horrible -- threat but their parents were so relieved.

And I was so happy I was so happy for.

My goodness I can't I can't imagine for -- you know those parents.

Hearing that their children were safe and were at this other location because the parents were all waiting for children at the fire house that's where the police have directed them.

As -- these parents children would not have been showing up at the firehouse and yet there they were.

At this respite.

Having been rescued it in rescue themselves and then with the help of -- -- that bus driver staying safe -- I know that.

Sadly.

Those were not the only parents you face that day after the children were went home with their parents.

You got another knock at the door.

This is the worst thing that out bed.

This beautiful woman -- my door.

She was so pretty -- face with -- that it was frozen in fear.

It is look.

It looked like Stallone.

And she was like adverse side and I know that she felt god was gonna give her a miracle of -- died.

And she dangers.

And she said.

Is by sudden here and she's so I -- six kids were here.

And I said.

No he's not but maybe he's at the fire -- -- this goes well -- -- The good children have been accounted for and I I walked out of the firehouse that I lost her I think she went away.

And later in the day.

I look at the casualty list.

And instead we've done.

I know it.

I what is seen as well that and shake -- handed holder.

-- -- -- pray for her.

I.

I can't imagine -- -- -- -- of what you experienced.

I wish that boy it did sitting on the couch.

I wish I -- given her.

Well one.

Let me perished.

It's for no income.

You can understand the the desperation of those parents once they heard that there were some children who -- saved themselves and got the safety.

In wanting to -- Hold on to hope that their own child might have been one of -- I I -- and on this -- I know he said in the interview that.

You want to see these children again in and you know the parents.

Are covering their friends and that the parents of the children who found themselves -- your house that they are the lucky ones and it but they are comforting their friends and going to funerals this week.

Why is -- important you see those those six young children and their folks again.

If it is it is what keeps me doing these interviews.

That is what lets me sleep -- what night.

I want them to call me grabbed me or uncle Jed or that guy.

Or hey you.

-- I want to hold -- in the I would have been -- of them -- -- -- on the that there is life after the darkness.

I want to read to them I letter read a book for them.

I want to be with them I wanna give of the special gift for Christmas.

I want to -- on the that I will love them forever and ever they will be in my heart forever and ever.

I pray that their parents who have called me when they can I know they will.

You've already -- that everybody -- you you were there you provided safety a stuffed animal.

You know a place of warmth.

And safety when they had come from something very different moments earlier I know that.

You have a background in psychology and he said your degree did not get you through this it was your grand kids seeing your own.
