I guess you could originally have called this a small business but -- fall on the shelf has become -- very.

Very big business indeed -- it started out apparently.

Just as as a tiny little self publishing business selling -- the trunk of a cop now worth millions of dollars and I guess in.

Probably millions of Ohio -- the delightful.

Elf on the shelf we're delighted to be joined now by Chanda bell who is Colfer -- all all thought.

After ten -- co CEO of creatively classic activities and -- great to see -- congratulations I guess first of all -- -- December -- thank you for having appreciated you know I think what is great about this we talk about a business going from being a small business.

To a huge business I DL for Michelle was in the Macy's parade this year that CBS I think did a movie last year to make.

But that did the wonderful thing about this is what -- and -- have business which brings joy to so many people not just any business.

Yeah exactly right it's my job to work for Santa cries and I help families adopt -- my sister my mom and myself in this company together.

And it's based on our -- gamely tradition of an alpha east to visit at Christmas time.

Say you know I think there are a lot of things that people come up west.

Or sell order you know start a business at -- that there's very few things where people come back to you and tell you how meaningful.

That -- -- life Alex had their lives.

Says it's for us what we do -- is it transcends just in job it's about family tradition and -- amendments and the only spending time together.

And then people love.

He has an outpouring of that to tell us their stories.

-- bet that you netted -- did tell me you ended the winds sent the first came -- -- and said hey we need to do this.

You have -- Well you know -- actually was the other way around we like Santa Claus of course to get permission.

But when I was a little girls -- -- -- now to our home and are helpless this B and -- to watch daring mid day report to Santa at night.

And in the morning before we would wake up he would fly back from the North Pole and landed a different spot in the house.

And his children I had just great memories.

Have -- to finding elf telling him what I live for Christmas apologizing for bad behavior but unfortunately.

And so when I grew up in our children of my parent my background -- an education my mom and I decided to write a story about.

But in a way where other families can't adopt elves themselves says that's very at the contacts and make sure that would be OK with -- So what did tell us that's good for -- -- for the two people who have not heard of elf on the shelf tell us what the -- actually does.

Well it's a children's book that comes with a real -- from the North Pole.

And it's the -- job to watch during the day and report to Santa cause every night.

And then in the morning before -- kids -- at the -- flies back from the North Pole and -- and a different spot in the house so it's also hide and seek game for kids.

It's just this magical family time -- -- -- stay stick Christmas Eve.

Helps -- Santa Claus deliver presence in -- goes back to the North Pole -- -- the holidays roll around again.

So it really isn't -- -- tradition and elf on the shelf dot com.

Has elves for adoption and you can also register your -- -- so every feeling gives their outfits and name in that -- it's Christmas magic and comes to lock.

So any -- due within -- that really knows that they got to behave pretty well because they are being watched.

They are you know extensive plan for -- to hear stories not only from gambling is where that health has meant so much.

But even from class trains teachers.

You know -- -- outpouring has just been amazing that we get to experience you know what we hope will be.

You know tradition that's every bit as much as you know watching Christmas specials -- You know seeing Santa Claus at the mall that valve on the shelf will arrive at Thanksgiving and -- through the Christmas holiday.
