Well it's a good thing the world is ending tomorrow because if I had to see a doctor on this news I would kill myself.

There is a new study showing surgeons make mistakes more than.

1000 times a year and -- from leaving surgical instruments -- -- of removing the wrong didn't he.

From you know my friend -- Mark Siegel insists these are the exceptions to the millions of successful -- on every year.

Still the hockey you you do -- and that would millions more coming on.

With the health care law a lot more doctors.

Getting annoyed and leaving the profession.

-- it could get worse.

They'll these are the exceptions but they're very expensive exceptions you're talking about one point three billion dollars.

In malpractice payouts over the last twenty years from these kind of mistakes.

And what hasn't escalated -- I -- -- -- that this has been the case over the past twenty years -- escalated from previous times now it's it's pretty stable but I predict that with obamacare coming and it's gonna get a lot -- why he -- because when the -- in the operating -- he's like the pilot of -- plane.

And he needs all of this checklists and all of -- staff.

Reminding him to put those flaps down because if he doesn't get that he might forget once or twice and you wouldn't want that of your passenger.

But with the rush we're seeing and thirty million more patients to the system and hospitals trying to cut corners and then worrying about their bottom line I think we're -- -- less checklists.

There have been studies that have shown.

That you have to go through this before the operation triple checked the patient.

Check the arm -- is it the right patient -- is it the -- body part mistakes will be made no matter what but the more right you're absolutely.

But it actually operate on the wrong page.

-- -- I've got on the wrong patient and the wrong body part of their personal stories that we're aware of my patients literally at the wrong side of his colon taken out these things that happen.

These things happen but most of it can be avoided mail we're very careful attention.

But it kind of let -- a million to come -- two assists and and and did -- the number doctors increase in economic surgeons has gone down then isn't this stuff more likely to have.

Yeah and that's the yes and that's only the tip of the iceberg because not only that.

A lot of the doctors that were in private practice and now huddling in the hospitals -- they have to -- -- bottom line to the going on salary.

To the hospital has more stress on it more obligations.

They're cutting down to more skeleton staff I want the nurses and the aides and everybody else to remember and remind the surge in the OR.

But there's going to be smaller staffs that's going to be a problem more more paperwork.

Doctors being paid less money.

Doctors under more stress to see more patients all of that is gonna lead to more these mistakes being made not less.

Of course if you paid out of pocket you might be able to avoid that but obamacare is moving us in the direction of more insurance not less the more insurance the more.

Cost circuit are trying to be cut and that picks it -- ultimately on the patient and mean and you don't you count responders and scuffles.

And they treated the same number.

But when you're -- someone bought a book doctors have to be very obsessive they have to -- -- we wouldn't be in the profession.

But you know there's a lot of things to remember right now I'm trying to remember from even being paid for the patient I get distracted.

But the actual procedure surgeons in overall -- this is a rare thing but it's gonna increase like Obama that way.

Doctor thank you very much meanwhile this just it.

Harry.
