Position just made -- furniture not to.

You're not soon.

You're not -- all right now I know it's getting ridiculous Santa.

Back on Capitol Hill today -- -- delivering a wheelbarrow full of goals to Republicans have refused to hike taxes and then there's this doozy to Nancy Pelosi today that was aimed.

And Republicans.

Giving.

Like reverse Robin Hood but taking food and amounts of babies from seniors.

To give them a tax -- -- the wealthiest and tax bills.

Two to the middle class.

You can't get a deal done with friends that when you're calling each other names to California democratic congress -- Karen bass is a member of the Budget Committee and you know congresswoman you're not that way you're not the meeting you don't you don't.

Take cheap shots at the other guys people might disagree -- -- but -- -- I just think that's out of -- and I think this and a thing is.

It is just pushing it but say you.

-- well you know I I think that we really are in a bad situation and I was listening to your earlier guests.

And you know I certainly want to go home for Christmas but I was more than willing to stay.

The only problem is is that we recess last night.

And so we were really kind of left all puzzled going well okay we didn't have the votes for that.

Couldn't we stay around and continue to work but if the leadership does gavel down and send us on recess were really kind of -- well you know.

Only has you might Iraq's other days that this is even -- -- a -- -- -- -- -- covering the vote last night on this.

It's a plan B thing and how it could tell apart.

Apparently did -- view was we're going nowhere fast we've just got to -- but to your point there's not a lot of times -- well.

Absolutely -- you what though the thing that was surprising to me is that when speaker Boehner had -- press conference and said he was gonna put.

Plan -- forward.

I would have thought.

That he would have counted the votes before he said that and then majority leader Kim are so -- early yesterday afternoon.

That we definitely have the votes to move forward so critically I have a lot of empathy for speaker Boehner I think the way his caucus treated him.

Last night was absolutely appalling.

To do that at the last minute like that.

Well it's done as as you say here and now this raises a question though if it's this difficult to get a tax hike through on millionaires.

How the heck are they gonna get one through presumably on 400000 errors and ward -- the point those who won't sit.

And and bolts of because it what -- a much the tax thing it was that they weren't seen.

Any spending cuts offered on your side.

It's poison the well has.

But what about that but let me just tell you how it gets done.

Speaker Boehner has got to break with the rule that he -- have the majority of Republicans on the deal how many Republicans can he bring to the table.

That's what has to happen.

His caucus should not hold him hostage like that he needs to make a major address to the American people.

And say you know what it's so important that I get this deal done I can only bring eighty republic.

President that's down below zero side then to come up with with -- -- -- dot -- -- GAAP and GAAP.

Absolutely well you.

If you work to get past that rule I guarantee you there would be enough Democrats that are willing to make cuts.

Well I don't know how long and I asked a couple -- -- zero less goalies that I would beg them to come up with a spending got.

I've had a group of Congressional Black Caucus that says no leave entitlements alone another large group saying -- Social Security alarm I could probably understand that it's not part of this.

Well it doesn't get out.

So when I asked them to name one thing they would cut.

They couldn't come up -- it so you I'm not here to take sides and saying you can't blame Republicans it would entertain I -- taxes which goes against their DNA.

When they're not getting anything in return -- Well now you asked me what I would cut and Natalia but I think that there's plenty of cutting defense.

But I also think that there's ways that we can have savings and make cuts in Medicare is well.

That don't.

Change the guaranteed because I think that's kind of the bottom line.

You have to -- -- next here on the stable handling dissecting you'd look at it.

And -- your other colleagues you don't want to even address it you say what.

Well I actually believed that my colleagues are willing to address that I think what they know cannot do -- Women women that they don't support Paul Ryan's plan to turn Medicare into a voucher Feinstein that -- -- I'm standing not far behind -- they have not -- savings.

No I I think -- for any of my colleagues have no I'm not sure which ones you've interviewed.

But in terms of the ones that I know that are willing to come to the table and -- serious cuts and in the two years that I do you think Garrett -- Democrats are happy Lincoln to number of them I do really.

-- -- I do think there -- enough of them.

If you put together Republican votes and democratic votes but as long as speaker Boehner is held hostage to the notion that he wanted to.

And when -- I gotta tell until it he's out a lot of insisted he -- -- he's allies -- -- that far right it's party you might be right about that.

Your party is equally calling the shots in the extreme left side leaving out most spending and -- learning how -- arguments so Bolton vote won't Gonzalez -- I well I don't think so I -- tell you one thing I don't believe that the Democrats would have ever done to leader Pelosi.

What they did to speaker -- last night that was atrocious the way they treated them.

I do think that if he would break with that one who'll win and I you know we definitely don't Democrats.

OK okay.

Coughed up that health care plan who didn't want any.

Well liked to have to tell it was before my time -- but what I do know that's what the what I do know is is that they never did Pelosi.

The way they did -- last night I I do think that that was just we -- level -- -- has no equivalent that you're trying to -- bulls forward you try to go with -- ideas I -- that justice and it Democrats are willing to vote for cuts.

Mountain.

I think you should talk to your friends disease in -- -- very nice -- -- lady but I've not heard it.

They -- any hope springs eternal and after the season will be like a miracle on I don't know -- -- but congress and I think we'll be back on the 27 all right.

Thank you very much the -- -- You --
