-- holy war over the health care law the little sisters of the poor reportedly may be bolting out of the United States because of that law.

The group of nuns say the new laws forcing them to provide insurance would contraceptive practices they opposed.

If they don't get an exemption they're gonna have to pony up big finds that they simply can't afford.

Is it's no big deal or proof the health care law is a big job threat.

Hi everybody I'm David has been well uniforms on fox let's go and focus with.

Steve Forbes Rick -- Elizabeth MacDonald Michael -- and Victoria Barret had rich -- guard Steve what do you think.

Well of course this is an example of what happens jobs are going to be destroyed him if they don't go oversees health care costs are going up obamacare is increasing demand but not increasing supply insurers have to take all commerce which means -- get sick you get the insurance and that's gonna put a strain on -- you have these mandates consumers may not want them -- the politicians say you must have them so insurance costs are going up and we the people are going to be.

Losers and -- it that the latest is there's a group called the hobby lobby and and they face a fine of one point five million dollars.

If they don't do what the government is telling they have to do vis a -- the health care law.

Yeah let's let's make a distinction here for -- -- second I was just correct to one point three million dollars a day.

That is the daily fine that they're gonna have to pay a lot of people can't -- that.

Well let's let's make an important distinction and by the way we are not above on the show from time to time placing dinner -- On certain things so my dinner party is open for anybody who things that the -- of the organization are not going to get an exemption of course they're gonna be exempted.

But what I think is really important and notable here.

They have been giving health -- to their employees over at that charity for years so their objection is not to the obligation to give.

Health care to employees it's a religious problem and it's gonna be dealt with -- -- That the corporation this in this country would take a lesson from those people and understand the importance of getting health care to their employees instead of trying to avoid the law by cutting out.

Well -- -- the bottom line is is that the hobby lobby just received notice from a court this week.

That in fact they are not going to be able to get an exemption that they do face a one point three million dollar fine.

Every day that they don't adhere to these practices that they have more.

Yeah that's really bad you know what that.

But this is the high costs of affordable -- her.

You know it despite the president says that the private sector is doing fine and whether or not the nuns and on themselves are saying they're gonna have to possibly cut.

Of the -- thing -- -- to the point is is that.

Health -- is quickly turning into the favor factory that the tax code is the tax code has been driving businesses -- OC is no one's been reading at three point seven million words and attacks that same with obamacare no -- in congress really read the whole thing through.

Energy you're seeing job hits and jobs layoffs and energy.

Even -- health care industry the medical device industry the restaurant industry.

Because businesses -- sentence of look this thing is so unwieldy there are so many bad things pop -- -- -- that we don't know what's coming next we're gonna have to protect the bottom line and make sure we can preserve the jobs that we can.

And -- in the bottom line is whether there are for profit or nonprofit a lot of companies simply can't afford to keep up with what this health care law forces them to do.

Sure and one ones consultants survey showed that 60% of companies will just pass the costs along to there.

Employees so all of a -- likely to see higher cost of health care you know which was not what the Affordable Care Act sort of promised from the onset but.

Rick got to bring coming up with -- you mention that these nuns -- course get an exception.

An exemption I don't doubt that but what's the difference between these nuns who served you know -- lots of nine Catholic people there -- lots of non Catholics who who work for them.

What's the difference between them -- a business owner who is you know strongly Catholic but employees non Catholics -- serves on Catholics and doesn't.

Want to you know offer contraceptives to their employees -- -- Since there's a huge difference one is a religious organization.

One is selling airplanes I presume model airplanes in their in their retail stores come on.

That's that incredibly kind of hiring workers to them not just the religious organs -- yeah waiting here's a company is like.

Even the automotive industry the Dana holdings which is an auto motive parts manufacturer.

They're saying they're going to lay off the problem is when you have meant a tax and when you have company is pulling back on insurance.

Because of obamacare that -- that's a double whammy for the middle class they got -- either on insurance and then it may have to pay the tab and that they don't get.

I don't know the bottom why -- this hobby lobby thing -- yes it's a private company but at the same time they really care about their beliefs they.

Totally disagree.

With what the health care law is forcing them to cover and that's why they would -- may go out of business because they if they have to pay these finds it's gonna hurt them.

Their bottom line terribly.

David obamacare was never designed to save money.

We know that because it needed a huge tax increase in Florida -- funded obamacare was designed as a path -- socialized medicine.

And all that destruction that socialized medicine brings with -- -- why unions this group.

Company's employees all -- trying to opt out of it.

-- and it's a lousy piece of policy most Americans are against it.

And it's gonna move us toward socialized medicine which has been proven everywhere to be terrible I think all this debating about the tiny minutia misses the larger point.

Which is socialized medicine takes away our liberty and hands it to the government that's what obamacare is about the rich -- bricks and -- good friend Toby Cosgrove was the head of the Cleveland clinic this week was saying in the Wall Street Journal that in fact.

Probably what this is all gonna lead to is a single Payer rule and that is socialized medicine.

That so I don't doubters go ahead rich.

I oh yeah I don't doubt that for a minute.

And what's obamacare is doing right now is really paralyzing.

Growth among small businesses.

You're gonna see all kinds of business finding out magically that.

49 employees rather than fifty employees is the number full time people they want the rest worked one.

Large companies are gonna make -- that the requirement of working at a large company very onerous.

In terms of their monitoring all of your health care so it's not just going to be.

Whether you smoke or not it's going to be your wage it's going to be your glucose it's going to be your blood pressure.

You know this is going to be the cost.

Working at a large company as they try to drive down their insurance obligate.

Those sea bottom line is it's gonna cost jobs of course it's gonna cost jobs health care is a cost of employing somebody.

And one reason why cash wages haven't gone up in -- recent years in real terms the precisely because the explosion health care costs this is gonna make it worse give us the worst of both worlds more cost.

And less health -- like the Soviet Union the food that's free but you couldn't get any.

-- -- What -- have always chaos with the state exchanges and what happened in the business level.

You know Washington DC stepping in with fixes to fix the chaos and that means more federal intervention into the health care industry and we have.

Since you to -- with all this Christmas stuff behind -- couldn't -- the government faces are both -- -- anyway.
