We have breaking news of yet another shooting just crossing the wires reports -- the gunman has opened fire on firefighters responding to an emergency.

This happening in -- certain New York near Lake Ontario David Lee Miller is live in our New York newsroom.

With the latest David Lee what can you tell us.

Many of the details are still sketchy Heather but at this hour I can tell you that the firefighters are responding to a blaze in about 6 o'clock this morning in the town of Webster.

Webster is a suburb of Rochester New York.

It is difficult enough to fight a fire when temperatures are about thirty degrees.

Someone there are according to local media reports opened fire on the firefighters.

According to Strong Memorial Hospital.

Two firefighters are being treated.

They will not disclose to Fox News the reason.

Four the element the AP is quoting a local newspaper saying that one firefighter is listed in satisfactory condition.

Officials are now telling local media that one of the firefighters was hit in the back side by someone again who opened fire.

And you can see that the house is still burning.

It has spread to a second home there are reports that the area is not secure and because of that firefighters are unable to battle the blaze.

Local residents are being evacuated a special swat team has now been brought in to evacuate them.

Those residents that do not want to leave have been told they should stay away from any open windows.

So at this hour this is a story that is still very much developing.
