We're hearing from a police officer who survived.

The shooting that killed two volunteer firefighters.

He says he never saw the gunman pulled the trigger but he could clearly hear the gun shots.

-- all happened on Christmas Eve in upstate New York police say the shooter likely set that fire is a trap.

And just waited for first responders to arrive.

Here's how the off duty officer described the scene.

For the funerals of the two firefighters who died those will be held on Sunday and the Monday Harris.

Well you know Jonathan -- -- to share that very sick note that was left behind what's the latest on the search for why this guy did this.

That it was the charred remains of her body noble found in the wreckage of the home and then of course there's his grandmother.
