You adopted him when he was thirteen months you are a living example of how important it is for American parents to really get involved in these kids' life.

When we decided to adopt and we weren't trying to rescue a child we were trying to become parents we wanted to be a family.

And from the moment we met -- Outside of Saint Petersburg Russia.

We fell in love and we became a family and now we don't know what our life would be without him.

And we're just like so many of the majority of the families who adopt from Russia we're just regular people he goes to school that -- sports.

We're family and we decided about a year ago that we wanted to add another child to our families -- it was a natural.

Inclination to go back to Russia and to try and adopt again.

And I know that you you -- -- adopt again from Russia mr.

And that there will be at least for the time being no more children adopted from Russia to the United States 46 kids -- -- are now in the pipeline to be hooked up with American parents this is devastating for both the parents and those children -- -- not.

It's heartbreaking -- I.

There's typically three to port trips that Americans -- go to Russia.

The third trip typically is the -- where you go to a Russian court.

And you go before Russian prosecutor.

The judge looks overall your paperwork and the paper -- -- between your home study.

And the dossier -- looking at several hundred pages.

Of things adoptive parents have to go through.

And so once the decree is made that you become the parents there's it's usually a typically depending on the region a ten day waiting period.

And those 46.

Parents couples are in that ten day wait.

So it's devastating that they've already met their child.

They've started -- bonding process I can't even fathom what they're going through.

You know we -- at the beginning of our second adoption.

As as are so many other families -- its -- it's just heartbreaking.

Yeah and missile system to you have if I if I might -- you tell me when you're going -- your husband says in the back and forth process to Russia.

Did you get a feel for what conditions.

These children were living in over there and and if these adoptions are no longer allowed which we assume they will not be what conditions will the kids be left.

With -- adoption.

His orphanage was an excellent one there were about a hundred children and it and it has since closed down due to other reasons but.

The children were cared for they were they were loved and -- and -- But at the same time.

-- caregivers.

Can't take care of twenty to thirty children.

It's just not possible there's it's not a family it's not a mom and dad bonding situation.

So even in the best of circumstances.

You don't get to the love and security.

That a permanent home brings to a child and these children who.

Have already.

Been passed over by Russian families and are now available for international adoption.

And in these 46 that have already been touched in hugged by families and they're waiting to go back and get these children.

These children will lose that they won't gags don't love and attention and stimulation they need just to develop normally -- children.

Well it appears that Ben is much love you guys are very blessed we hope it works out for you and a second child we hope for the rest of the children.
