And welcome back well -- the fiscal cliff hanger in some Republican lawmakers are fired up saying the president is a big part of the problem.

The shame that in this nation where every developed country in the world knows that -- greatest threat as our fiscal solvency.

Solve the problem because we know it is our greatest threat but that's not the case here we have a president to.

And even the top of the cuts are talking about an -- essentially -- the rate of increase of -- of going up what this mean I spent Angola but like I know they say hey we've got savings because we simply cut the rate of increase but we'd actually -- what we need to do is talk but actual reductions that for example there's a great -- call them back any plan congressman Connie -- was leaving congress unfortunately.

Has a very simple idea which is this your -- than a hundred cents on the dollar.

Next year -- spend 99 cents on the dollar the -- that 98 cents of the dollar and each year you've decreased spending by one penny per dollar.

And people running government agencies a cabinet officials ought to be able forgot okay we can save something here.

Reduce that get out of this line line of business as slowly but surely bring the government to a level of spending from 24% of GDP where it is now.

He had a great quote which is no country has the luxury of spending more than hats and even that the that dictate every -- dictator of Cuba understands this.

And a lot of people wash -- wanna spend more money that we have they can continue to do this if they don't actually reduce spending.

We heard the first plan enact any plan which sounds sensible course -- probably won't do it -- it's sensible or two on the list though.

Washington should terminate antiquated and extraneous programs sure.

I think what we need to do state government agencies involved it been involved in things that might have made since the past and just say look the governments are gonna do this anymore.

For example 1935 Franklin Roosevelt sort of some -- the rural electrification administration to get to power into -- well they did that now guess what they're doing they're still there.

Another putting in Internet broadband.

So.

This is something that Time Warner and and -- companies ought to be able to do privately that -- should be able to do this.

And the people working those companies should be -- reported that agency should be given.

Severance -- thank for their -- service shut down that agency and move on you have to create you know another level of brief bureaucracy to start auditing these types of departments to find out that the rural electrification act is still implemented in the people are still.

Getting away with arguing that they can put up power polls open rural Montana no you don't need an agency -- that the Cato Institute Citizens Against Government Waste National Taxpayers Union all these organizations -- that -- to that list of agencies programs.

That ought to be terminated for example -- -- -- tire Department of Housing and Urban Development.

I mean the Washington DC really did a great job of -- almost wrecking housing sector in 2008 -- spend money trying to bring.

Prices of how homes delicate and affordable in it keep on prices up so people have valuable -- -- which is that so why don't we take department of hard.

Think you're wounded there and so the ball so that's just one example -- did it by shrinking the size of the federal government and decreasing some of these departments.

What other departments would be on the chopping block we saw the post office dealing with some major budget -- sixteen million dollars that ought to be privatized why not just give it to the workers of the of the post office and let them -- -- let them run and let them try to run at a profit that's an example the Department of Agriculture.

Look I'm I'm all for food safety there's probably a federal role there to make sure that the food -- doesn't poisonous.

But what we have people sitting in offices Washington determining what the price of sugar ought to be paying one point eight billion dollars a year pay farmers not to farm.

This makes no sense particularly -- sixteen point four trillion dollars in the hole.

Special interest.

Special interest come to mind with all of this right because I think and that most of the reasons why Washington doesn't cut spending is because there accountable for some of that someone has.

Paid for their campaigns sure money's been pouring in these campaigns that are accountable back home to these organizations that come into their offices so.

Do any of these three plans you mentioned.

Get away with special interest -- special interest off to the side because that's where I think we could actually see some real change of special interest on involved.

-- special special interest so will be what was will be there what's necessary is leadership to stand up and say look.

And mr.

lobbyist or or business consultant can be great continue this but we're sixty -- -- -- Point four trillion dollars in the red this is just getting worse and worse we're gonna hit the debt limit very soon.

And it's -- what we're gonna say enough is enough for example private sector workers make 64000 dollars on average in this country federal workers making 128000.

-- -- double.

It ought to be able to take that not too much leadership to say look let's bring federal worker pay.

Don't closer where the level is of the average taxpayer it takes encouraged take some leadership but those are exactly the kind of things we need to keep this country from going totally broke.
