Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Maria Molina after the fox inching weather center with your forecast for the northeast.
And look at the new year here on a very -- -- across places in the northeast nozzle in the midwest.
And temperatures actually could be slightly below average for many of us here so even a little bit cooler than what's typical for.
Early January it is winter after all 22 will be a high temperature over Syracuse low thirties in New York City -- high temperature -- just one degree.
In caribou Maine and of course you factor in the -- out there it's going to be feeling even colder than that as much as ten degrees colder.
Now with the thermometer reads otherwise and a great -- Chile as well thirty over us and Chicago 27 in Detroit.
And -- high temperature I just when he and mark had bundle up as -- head outdoors across the Great Lakes announced the northeast not just for today but even as we head into tomorrow as this cold temperatures.
Are here to -- at least for a couple of days.
Otherwise areas across the interior northeast right off the links could be dealing with a couple of lake effect snow showers accumulations though.
Not too bad we're just going to be seeing maybe a couple of inches or so in any.
And in your area otherwise places on the -- -- quarter from Boston at the Philadelphia staying dry there are couple of us showers and also areas of heavier rain across parts in the Atlantic.
That is moving on out and heading south and east so off towards -- -- -- so again trying things out across places in the mid Atlantic.
Otherwise further west across places in the midwest seeing generally dry there is going to be another clipper system swinging on through portions of the Great Lakes.
Producing some light areas of snow but again no significant accumulation forecasts out here.
Across the Great Lakes or even into the northeast -- and barely see it here -- the future radar basically going to be a very dry system.
But it will do what it will do is bring another shot of reinforcing cold air across places in the midwest of you live in Minneapolis Chicago heads up.
It's gonna -- -- for today and also over the next couple of days because of the additional cold air coming in from Canada.
Otherwise -- the end next week fraction of me seeing a different trend with a bit of a warming expected actually across many places looking people -- otherwise.
Have a -- everyone I'm meteorologist Maria Molina from the fox extreme weather senator.
