We oftentimes jump in we want all the answers right away and we lose sight of the fact that we're doing always with a patient privacy issue and I'm actually in touch with her.
Neurologist at Columbia presbyterian but we're actually.
Monitoring what's getting out there he's monitoring it and of course the Clinton team is monitoring it.
Because we want the right information to get out now initially it was always assumed it was -- And by experts that you had a blood -- and relate because she flies -- play in such a long time.
And because you had such a thing in 1998.
But now it turns out and it's really important that people understand this distinction.
That she -- is.
What's cold.
Eight Venus thrombosis the societal trends were assigned espionage thrombosis or brain now that's very very fancy word for the drain of the brain the base of the brain get together and they drain in sinuses.
One of the -- on the side of her brain got a blood clot in it.
And why that happened that's it.
Unclear but one of the things that might have predispose that is the fall that she suffered when she had that concussion a month ago.
She also was probably dehydrated at the time.
-- both of those factors can increase your risk of forming such -- thing it's a rare complication and you know what it happens to be quite life threatening.
But the news is that when you're a few days out from that and you've been on blood -- You -- prognosis improves dramatically.
As does the fact that she probably didn't have any symptoms to be -- or on -- And bright physician who was just doing a routine follow up.
For someone that had -- and that there has this is not something that's our viewers are gonna get it's rare.
It's something that we need to learn about Clinton are something that we're certainly gonna have to worry -- Yes one of the things what things like blood clots or even brain and your -- you -- you -- so.
Worried about things that you don't have symptoms for things that pop up and can taking out taken down so quickly.
And when you mention that this could be a life threatening thing I mean is she out of the woods you think at this point.
You know most of the time this is symptomatic -- would have a headache or.
Or nausea or or or change in your neurological exam like that like the weakness sore or or a facial -- She apparently didn't have any of because.
It probably.
Brain was probably forming another way to drain.
It's time with that was happening.
I don't know if there's an interesting question she's been on anti coagulant they would not have center home from the hospital that wasn't working.
So in terms of risk of stroke or brain slowing the immediate risks I think she's pretty much out of the woods just -- -- Go ahead and be treated with blood centers for at least months.
And then.
They're gonna have to figure out at some point or this year has this tendency to form -- that's another question that's still you know on the doctor's mind.
But that's something that you can't easily test for.
In the near term while she's on corporate losses on blood -- you won't be able to dual process.
