You know -- DR unfortunately he is not one of them.

South Carolina senator -- Scott was sworn in just hours ago and senator Scott joins -- excuse -- congratulations thank you it's good to be with you and I when he made -- -- NAACP said he says the president that -- you don't believe in civil rights -- ridiculous.

I just say that.

Well -- -- -- vision some folks really wanna find a way to make rates more of a part of their conversation going forward I think that it's time for us to continue to move forward as a nation.

If you really think about where we are we have the most diverse and freshman class in the senate perhaps this history.

America has made amazing sets -- and we will continue to make steps forward as we focus on those issues that bring us together.

Economic freedom is a real opportunity in this nation for a lot of folks we get there is by making sure that family incomes go up.

Well government spending goes down.

-- US senate if you're Democrat or do you think that this is truly based on -- voting record as a member of the House of Representatives and well certainly this is no doubt that one of the things I realized the folks.

Like mr.

-- believe a larger government -- more freedom I just -- discreet so is that why you think that he says it to the media OK there's -- government and there is civil -- his hitting you for civil rights again.

It's baseless but -- -- the day if you can find a way to trust fund or his office selection process for the for some folks maybe that's a good thing for them but it's not a good thing for the country.

But they have a report card and terms of you know whether or not had their lives whether you agree whether there and legislative some kind of report card.

Ten and then attacking you over civil rights.

One of the things that they dissing video is your vote on -- EPA from regulating greenhouse gas emissions which for the life -- and -- has dude civil rights finally ended.

Gas emissions whether Ford -- against it.

Problem they have that has said and I -- that is one part of -- reason -- -- -- -- -- -- civil -- Yeah in the once again it's it's it's almost laughable unfortunate some people take different seriously.

Where a look at it honestly is that we have some serious issues and some serious opportunities -- our focus on the serious opportunities to move people forward I think about the fact that.

Here I am sitting here having this conversation with you the category over the super council among believe in the future that I cannot see -- -- they came along has taught me.

Very simple business principles and it works it works in if we were to unleash.

Free markets throughout this country if we would address the antiquated.

Insistent that we haven't taxation to ignore corporate taxes -- see prosperity in this nation and we that we haven't seen a long time.

We have an opportunity to inspire Americans here we're gonna have to have a conversation.

About the lowest common denominator fear.

We get away from the abdomen and -- -- -- when I heard that Doleac does a certain code year of Republican -- African Americans of the NAACP and what better way to you know to get I even slept around something so.

-- personal to an African American civil rights as it should be to every American.

Of course all the way that we -- beyond that is recognize that we have an average into to inspire young folks I think about kids are coming up in the same situation.

I came up in.

We can -- those kids about the fact that this country.

The American dream.

It's alive it's well in in the -- -- to look back at the unemployment rate when I graduate from high school was over eight point 3%.

Very similar situation as it is today.

In yet coming out of school I have so much optimism.

About the future because I believed -- my mentor my mother were telling me and it's still true today that the future of this nation.

Is dependent on someone come it was one really good idea and that's part of the free market system that we have.

If the small government concept grows we have.

Fewer dollars leading our pockets.

We have more folks motivated to make a profit as a small business -- for the last fourteen and a half -- -- hire people based on our profits.

It's a great system.

The best in the world.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Now when the -- politicians run for office nobody ever talks about them at all nobody campaigns and universities.

Then the photos taken for -- has been a democratic vote although there their when their situation is deteriorated over the years they've got nothing out of it.

And we talk about protecting the middle class which is important.

But nobody in the narrative this so far away from Holland to lift and empower never deceased being -- for money your -- for entitlements I think people are taken money for them or whatever the whole American has shifted away from actually.

Trying to accomplish something improve the situation.

To bring America back to the forefront -- I didn't do in the next to excel to speak at my high school so -- high school.

Go warriors and so I stood as a place where I believe the bit of minority published between Hispanics and African Americans around 65 or 70%.

I'm looking forward to going to my whole high school in talking about the teachers.

To empowered me to think for myself looking at an opportunity to talk to kids who are coming up the single parent homes.

But the fact if you work hard to give a strong work ethic and you have discipline the -- very bright for you.

It did I tell you I talk to kids about making the minimum wage income -- giving away three also her paycheck to people they don't know they don't want that concept of.

-- today was day one as your senator so much when -- sentiment was the biggest thrill when you meet today what was or something is particularly fun as -- First -- senator.

Canada and we've probably the best for the day -- -- high school actually streaming from my ceremony live.

Don't edit the best that I like that number two I think it was just walk into the chamber looking up to a moment left inside my brother on the right -- realizing.

That there -- people that came together when I was almost a high school flunked I dropped out of high school almost at the freshmen are filled world -- every -- Spanish and English.

When you -- Spanish and English could avoid bilingual.

Big or anybody -- and the fact that I was able to have folks -- -- -- -- to the right time and help me to -- jump forward.

Some beautiful thing -- over policy that repeated throughout this country.

-- John Thune senator -- there and figure out we played basketball against George Jones staff in the last year for charity event a lot of we did because of Scott Brown plus that we need help again.

We had an opportunity to talk to John McCain the war heroes that was nice to see you Roy Blunt -- be in the house.

Working -- Jeff flake who spent a week on desert or in Ireland and eating.

Grover something that we do a lot of good characters that I met today I of course -- -- just in the house this is going to be an opportunity for us to come together.

Have a real dialogue with the American people about how the promised land is still alive and well.
