Rage among the families of the victims of the -- -- Colorado movie theater shooting after they got an invitation to the re opening of the theater where their loved ones were killed.

In July accused gunman James Holmes burst into a midnight showing of the Batman movie the Dark Knight rises killing twelve people and wounding seven.

And now some are calling the theaters gesture appalling and even disgusting and joining us now is -- Phillips her daughter Jessica.

Was one of the victims thank you for joining us sandy.

So -- you for having me.

You lost your 24 year old daughter Jessica and aspiring sportscaster we are so sorry for your loss after the shooting did you hear anything from the owner Cinemark.

Not a word.

No letters no phone calls.

No outreach whatsoever several of the families.

Who lost loved ones did reach out Cinemark.

Way before any filings of any lawsuits were made.

And never even received a phone call.

The mayor of Aurora have reached out to Cinemark suggesting that they reopen the theater as quickly as possible.

But never once mention that we should be a part of that negotiation.

Are part of the discussion -- two give our input and how that could be done.

In more delicate way than than they half.

So in fact last month Cinemark did announce that the theater would reopen on January 17 and they emailed invitations to the families of the victims including yourself through a third party.

Your reaction when you got that invitation.

You know first of all -- came two days after Christmas which was extremely hard for all the families who have lost a loved one in the feeder.

And then two days later this comes through an email that was just very callous and an intensity.

And at first when I first opened it it was like big they're joking here this this has to be a mistake.

And as I read the entire.

And her page it became more and more fans -- and -- it to my husband who have the same reaction and I called several of the other family members and they open up their emails and have the same reaction in him that's when we decided that a letter really needed to be written to.

To say that this is not the way you handle a situation like this.

And in -- the families of nine of the twelve love victims did sign on to this letter what did you say in the letter.

We basically said that this was not the way to handle it that we felt it was.

PR -- If you get that the families of dead the dead to come to -- reopening them.

Always good to me.

They become the good guys and that's certainly not the way we feel they've they've ignored us through the whole process.

-- -- not a governor aviator.

I'm sorry -- -- Up and felt they didn't it was a killing field and and to.

-- it assumed that any of us would want to step foot into that theater again -- kind of ludicrous.

Yes I know you would like to see that theater demolished or at least have some kind of memorial at the site.

It's not really I'm I am a business person I know that that's a -- is a large feeder and it provides a service to the community.

I think what most of us would have liked to some kind of honor.

To that feeder nine specifically.

Maybe that -- not reopening that specific Peter.

What we have heard and again this is all rumor we don't know what's true and what's not because we haven't been included.

What we've been told is -- 89 has combined into one make a plaques and that's kind of upsetting to us to say the least.

Theatre nine could have been turned into a museum they could have been turned into more concession -- it could have been turned into a stories area -- too.

To be more concerned about the money instead of what happened there and how of the families who lost people are reacting to it.

Since the wrong -- can thank.

So Colorado's governor John Hickenlooper does plan to attend -- in his reported that at least some officials in Aurora support the idea -- they explained to you their reasoning.

Now they haven't.

You know we've heard nothing from.

And he won there in fact.

When this happened we received.

Letters from the president and the First Lady.

Here in Texas where I live I received a letter from the governor's office.

We have yet to receive anything from governor Hickenlooper or in the marries that the mayor of Laura.

You know we've been pretty well cut out of the the whole process.

All right sandy Phillips of the mom -- Jessica one of the victims of the movie -- shooting thank you so much for joining us and again our condolences.

Thank you very much when those stunning the.
