-- once again that we are here on set we've got a great panel to have some discussion with.

About today's top stories we want to introduce you to a familiar faces you probably already know Julie against the -- Former Corzine communications director and Fox News contributor and of course.

Jim Pinkerton contributing editor and writer the American conservative magazine and Fox News contributor.

As well.

Big mouth full year at title both in the hunt so the first we want to talk about is what's going on.

With congress setting the vote on the nine point seven billion flood insurance package for super storm sandy victims there's a lot of talk that's been going on about this.

We just got a fox urgent that the house is approved.

Narrow sandy -- on flood insurance we got this from one of our producers on Capitol Hill.

The vote was 354 to 67.

All may votes were for -- were from Republicans.

Including -- -- from representative Paul Ryan.

The bill now goes to the senate where is it is expected to be -- by unanimous consent.

So moving -- you know has been a lot of back and forth about this bill and about obviously the people that are still struggling.

Out there around our region.

Who need that helps about who were clearly frustrated yesterday we were playing sound bytes of of folks that are literally still in tears.

About what they are dealing went.

So first -- -- ask you look at where we sit with all of this in the type of help that's coming that could be coming and -- -- political.

-- backdoor dealings with -- or you know front door dealings now what what do you think about where we are with the.

Siding with the ousted it -- goes disgraceful and it's not my partisan opinion -- people like Chris Christie Republican governor of New Jersey Peter King a Republican congressman of New York Michael Clinton -- -- all Republicans.

Lambasting John Boehner.

For essentially abdicating his responsibility he should have passed with the last congress we don't have to wait for the senate.

To do this now another says go back the senate have to reconcile any of those by unanimous consent with any reconciliation that's -- that conference committee that's fine but.

What was the hold up why wait.

For three days and do this or forties and people are suffering they are some people are dying financial animus and you know and for Paul Ryan you know.

I hope Wisconsin never goes through with the state of new York New Jersey just went through but for him not to understand that you were this -- -- means that -- one.

I've won many and you know out of -- one excuse me and that where one United Nations.

And that for us not to do this -- the united unified nation is disgraceful this is not New Jersey New York issued this is a national problem.

Was there was a lot of talk about the extra stuff that was in the -- report because it's so it would what do you think Jim about where this bill.

Went where we're going now well I mean that it -- -- number was sixty billion I think.

They're talking about and it was -- now I see nine point seven here so that's an 80% reduction which I suspect probably weeded out some work.

Look I agreed to disaster relief is one of those things you've you've you've you do wind up paying for a few protests for a -- but I'll point out the storm hurricanes and that is was.

The week before the elections and I was back in late October somewhere and and I am not sure this you can bear its entire blame for the fact that only happen in January is posted November I think that I don't who called President Obama.

Had hitting -- for this through November December I think he had other things out of mind.

And so leave this justice -- a reality that congress act slowly sometimes although I don't think there's a big difference between January 4 and January 1.

Well that's the difference the sense of that the new congress there for extra costs all -- -- otherwise wouldn't you think you're right the other problem of course is that Katrina which happened.

Under George Bush in the southern states the Republicans have no problem voting on very quickly relief for Katrina there's a lot of pork in that bill as well nobody talked about it.

They just did it and so you don't Rush -- was a congressman from New Jersey.

Brought up a point which which I hope is not true -- suspicious that the two states that voted for Obama suddenly Republicans a lot of fun.

Any American -- I hope that's not true I hope there's no part of the politics of -- allegation that he made and I think it's an allegation that need to be taken seriously considering the fact that the senate to vote on this weeks ago.

And the house out -- -- sat on sat on it.

What can Obama do any camp you have how he doesn't controlled against legislative branches -- his -- John Boehner despite what some members there on the conference may think but.

So you know I don't -- 101000010 million and this happiness and 1% of what originally with -- al-Qaeda by the -- 120% I was -- resident -- that might be the case that.

That this tendency congress -- is to start as we both agree is the stuff these -- -- completely extraneous material on other other issues that that that's especially useful sort of processing.

And can't say the 80% of that was part and obviously wasn't you know and if you look at you again you know.

I would I would welcome Paul Ryan and -- -- -- could come down Staten islanders and the Jersey Shore both of which I've been through recently and it's it's devastating it's just.

Abysmal with these people are gone from New York City for millions -- and have a to go with your tale of two cities towns fine downtown re actually the outer boroughs -- hurt devastated they need help about 140000.

Sandy related flood insurance claims have been filed Fina officials said.

And most have yet to be closed down many flood victims -- only received partial payments of their claims I certainly my husband's family's from Long Island so I know that some.

Folks out there have gotten a few thousand dollars just kind of get the vibe but now it's like OK it's January where are we going where it went live.

Houses and work it is still a lot to be done of real quick a couple people Chiming in on our chat wanna thank you for watching him for participating because that's part of what the show's all about.

Jacket -- gun -- and -- what's the hold up and front is isn't anyone listening the house to the right thing hold up was pork.

Wake up is -- -- -- from.

Is anyone -- to thank you very much for that so we do you --
