Talk about movies and on Friday -- we always talk with Matt actually in his cued up in Los Angeles for us.
And we want to get to him and find out what is happening for a weekend movie preview what they're top box office spots will be for 2013.
Matt great to see you know let's talk about what we're looking at kansas' three movies that are really out -- -- -- -- seeing all these commercials about.

Well let's get through these ugly when first with the Texas chainsaw 3-D.
This is a movie -- is the seventh Texas chainsaw massacre really believe it or not it's a direct sequel to the original from 1974.
This really was not really screened for critics.
We only a partial score.

Were people from some of the more genre based movie sites that cover horror -- -- had gone to the press junkets and they get to see -- screening but no one else really did.
So even that audience which you would think would be kind of -- to like it isn't that wild about the been -- -- and it's.
You know really it's kind of cliche it's not that scary.
It's got a couple of its -- but it's mostly pretty generic and and you're better off probably watching the originals so.

So this movie is based on the true story of a -- that was caught in the 2004 tsunami in the Indian Ocean.
They're on vacation in Thailand the day after Christmas and the tsunami that's.

They get swept away by this terrible tidal wave and it becomes a story about their survival.
And whether or not they're going to be able to get their family back together again I gotta tell you this is one of the most terrifying movies I have seen in the last yourself really the -- with -- when the tsunami hits it is absolutely jaw dropping really terrifying.
You see Naomi -- and -- -- at that point of plays their oldest son gets swept away in the water.
Charlie Watts has talked about having a fear of open water she and her younger brother got swept out to see when they were teenagers.
And she's lived with that fear ever since and you see every bit of that -- on her face here.
You -- McGregor also turns and a great performance I found this movie to be.
Very emotional very compelling and absolutely terrified.
It's a really heart wrenching movie and the critics mostly like it certified fresh at 70%.
There are some people have been complaining that the -- -- that this is based on as the Spanish family.
-- -- some people complain that they've replaced them -- you know.

From Great Britain but really my attitude is.
Would you spend that much when he and the effects here you kind of have to Richard can you get your box office backs out.
I could see why that decision was made and I think it doesn't ultimately take away from the story the very powerful movie and I really would recommend it although.
You know you have to be careful it is a very heart wrenching.

I found -- to be relatively evenhanded I found that once it kind of tips -- -- now.
Why it use it starts to lose the audience and it doesn't help that the movie was.

Which says so in the title cards right at the beginning so that probably is good tickets here early as to where it's gonna come down because you got to figure.

Energy independent so anyway -- -- -- were to be mostly compelling the the actors are pretty good and you know it doesn't talk down.
To the audience it doesn't talk down to the characters in this small town treats everybody pretty respectfully but when it does finally show its cards.
It does it in a way that really starts to get pretty preachy and so the critics are mostly -- on it it's about in the high forties right now which is definitely rotten on our site.
