There's -- story segment tonight you miss universe crown a couple weeks ago and already is becoming somewhat controversial but not a bad way at least in my opinion.
Olivia -- -- twenty year old Boston University students as marijuana not a positive thing.
As you may know Washington and Colorado recently legalized the use of pot and in Denver a pot shop immediately opened up.
It's a ribbon cutting for a whole new kind of this is what folks are doing in plunged 64 month club owners say is the first private pot smoking -- again.
From hundreds of thousands of people celebrating the new year -- alcohol.
And we want to be the ones to celebrate the new year with candidates with the passage of amendment sixty.
For adults over 21 can't possess a small amount of pot of people here believe their private club is legal.
Amendment 64 says you can consume marijuana all you want but just not in public.
So.
This is by definition private members' pay thirty dollars to -- they bring their own marijuana or share with other adults but we're told no marijuana will be sold here.
You can bring your own.
That's they way to share and trade Denver police say they are waiting for guidance from the city attorney and district attorney.
-- see if the club is in violation of any laws.
Who's now on this universally vehicle those who -- -- out would you go to that club now no way.
No way not not where it's legalize.
I think that the legalization of marijuana it tells people that it's okay that it's harmless absolutely that's what it does is no doubt about it.
We -- twenty years old period BU a lot of pot smokers have a BU you know I know that I went to be you might just got hot there but I know a lot of people get.
A lot of American twenty year old -- -- I mean my wanna do on -- -- you know this is good I wanna get high it's better than alcohol.
How did you formulate an anti recreational use point of -- I think that -- for medicinal purposes it works it it works for society it helps people with mental disorders that lets people with.
Terminally ill -- medical marijuana in some circumstances but I'm talking about this club but people just go to get -- you don't like it why.
You -- it tells people that it's okay and why isn't it okay because everybody has a different reaction to it it's not a it's some people get paranoid.
It's been proven to increase schizophrenia even there's just so much about it that we don't know so much about it that varies from person to person.
And legalizing it wouldn't be -- would -- be telling us that it's.
That it's acceptable and it's not acceptable for a lot of people do you have any personal experience friends who use marijuana or bad experiences that you've seen in this kind of -- context.
Absolutely I think.
You probably -- to -- everybody everybody does.
I think even the people at that -- know that there are people that don't react well to -- I think that if they Wear.
For example going on an airplane in their pilot had just use this is safe.
Legalize marijuana you wouldn't feel a lot of news that but I mean the reason -- I chose not to take drugs and alcohol as well -- because I saw what happened in my neighborhood when all this drug stuff came in -- -- -- seventies.
Lot of people got hurt by it and now that marijuana is ten times stronger than it was back then and I know people who are addicted to marijuana and -- that I -- and yet is.
It's psychologically addictive just like tobacco is.
But it's interesting you put yourself out -- -- -- gonna get criticized Venus square in all of this you know William Cranston, Rhode Island working class town slot pot there a lot of -- there you know that.
You know back and they're gonna look at you and you know I you know.
You don't care about that scrutiny.
I don't think there's skinny and think that the people at that club very smoking legal marijuana -- know what I'm talking about it don't.
They think it's the best thing in the world these things pot -- -- they love it.
They -- you -- you know CEO Willie Nelson.
-- -- -- and I act he's got a book out that says this is the greatest thing in the world so you mentioned -- Give -- talk to Willie Nelson.
Slick little fire hydrant all right I knew the dogs as he wants to -- shows kids had a smallpox.
You know Snoop Dogg is you know those guys and I agree with that either and I think hopefully a majority of Americans -- -- and that's all you got to understand that the mentality on the other side.
Is you know there's nothing -- it is great let's be stoned all the time.
That's what it is a lot of that Americans more and more going over to that side.
That's what you got the legalization Washington -- and outside scarier than ever before and I you -- make this a campaign and he gonna go out and tell all young kids that not to do and.
-- I think could work I think I had currently can't make it different if you believe it I absolutely do believe in and I think I could make a difference but I still really do believe that.
As they're rated I I don't think that it will ever be legalized -- I can't answer that okay then that's -- yes it and bush obviously you don't want to do it anymore right.
No immediate everybody and drink no one under age.
Look twenty that's yeah that's right -- we go to Finland you can drink there who want.
OK but you know and kids drink -- -- -- intoxication is not for you right.
Intoxication getting -- not for you.
It's definitely -- afternoon during this job -- -- on an international role model and especially in this country where it is.
There is the drinking age I need to respect that especially.
Not only as a citizen of this country but as a role model and people look up to -- feel like.
They can look up to me well good.
My hope you do as much good as you can with you miss universe -- the school -- pleasure talking thank you thank you all right.
