Donald Trump author of time to get to -- O'Donnell our -- morning.

To get it Greg -- are there's the book great there.

-- let our news with the fact that President Obama is -- and I nominate a Chuck Hagel and secretary of defense today that he he's got some baggage though.

We've got something we're gonna play a little snippet for you of something he said.

Back in 2006 I'm gonna read it.

To -- he said quote the Jewish lobby intimidates a lot of people here I'm not an Israeli senator.

-- -- United States senator he said in an interview back in 2006.

Do you think he's gonna wind up with the votes to become our next secretary of defense.

Well a lot of people wanna fight and they don't like what he's saying about Israel and they wanna fight and they didn't like is -- of the war very much either.

But a lot of people can also say you know his views changed very radically.

And sometimes and I always tell people -- -- not necessarily the wrong thing you don't just get.

Wedded to a policy -- not work you know won't work so jaded necessarily the worst thing but they do not like his views of his stance on Israel.

It interesting though that that he's apparently close to president bombing even -- he's a Republican.

I think in a way.

You know president -- is good at.

Manipulating and and I'm I'm just wondering if this is a choice because it's going to put Republicans in a box yet again.

Mean this is something -- Obama seems to be good at his putting for a good Republicans in a box to have to answer to.

Well why wouldn't they vote for a Republican.

Well I'm a Republican that I will tell you I'm so disappointed in what the Republicans -- do it got so disappointed in their negotiating ability at what they've what happened recently they could have wrapped up -- -- beautiful package that would have been great for the country -- that he choose to do it.

Instead they going step by step and losing each step of the way.

Well then that you see what struggles with others -- -- people as he says wealth that was just -- tax raised there rather do it again.

And they could have wrapped it up that it could have been a beautiful package and they had all the cards and I don't know what's happening I don't know who these negotiated -- but.

Like they're the worst -- -- seeing it.

-- you're you're a master negotiating you written books about you give seminars about it classes about it.

So -- did you see the leverage that that speaker Pelosi does speaker -- didn't.

Unbelievable leverage you have the debt ceiling coming up which they should have put into this package not waited a -- -- two months.

And -- -- all of these things coming out and Obama would have folded a 100%.

As soon to assure you -- sitting -- Obama would have folded like a deck of cards.

He had no choice.

And instead of doing.

They raise taxes and then the workers comes out and he said that's okay that's not really taxes -- I don't know.

What these people are doing I don't know what they're saying they could have had an incredible being beautiful -- Great for the country everything wrapped up everything for this -- be fighting again.

But you can see it -- that was supposed to be a tax increase about -- policy system now that's that's the end of it.

Yeah it touring with the Republicans.

And honestly don't sit the other day -- I guess got a lot of coverage was all over the place.

-- may be the worst negotiators at their perceived.

So if you hurt you if you're the speaker you would not have put that tax increase on the table because he basically started a negotiation by saying.

Hey we'd be willing to increase taxes on people who make over a million dollars you would not have done that as a first -- in a negotiation.

If I would just take care I would have made sure that there was one deal and no further negotiations did everything would have taken place everything would have been put -- We would have had massive.

Spending cuts which is what we need because ultimately the tax increases -- peanuts compared to what you do instead they.

You look -- fraud if you look at all the things going wrong with this country that brought his -- that.

I would have made one.

Deal it would have been a big beautiful deals as the country could go back to work.

This didn't go on forever.

The debate the -- then I'm bound for -- for media tell you how to negotiate but evidently the president according to Wall Street Journal never shuts up.

Randall's on does give anybody else a chance to talk number one.

And number two he said -- does he would have allowed this still all all the taxes to go up the bush tax rates to evaporate.

And then put a bill together saying I'm gonna reduce it for.

Everybody makes and -- 50000 forcing Republicans to -- voted for that so we might have had some leverage.

They're not forced to vote for anything you know they control 13 essentially 13 of the -- -- they control it's fairly strong respect it was great dissension.

What this what deal was made.

So look if they would have said -- ready to have that the big deal the grand deal good deal that everybody wants to see or we're not -- have any deal at all.

Absolutely 100% they would have got it and instead they do this and -- the Republicans are being eaten alive step by step.

Watch what happens with Nancy Pelosi is -- could -- you -- with.

And I just -- -- these people what are they doing.

Well it's it's inches say because apparently didn't John Boehner after the election went in and say OKMR president we're gonna raise revenues we're gonna give him 800 billion -- is that you know.

Famously now we know -- -- parity got that.

But what it talks a little bit about in the Wall Street Journal is about how the president simply so inflexible he.

Initially he put out in the last grand bargain thing.

The perhaps raising one of their group retirement ages but then -- realize -- I -- -- -- the president to the left wing of the Democratic Party so he pulled that away.

So he wasn't going to give up anything.

The worst thing the Republicans are doing is even talking.

The -- that the president and the Democrats would absolutely have come to the table if the Republicans says it's going to be the big Deal or No Deal at all.

They would have absolutely -- they talk a good game.

That's assemblies about every other Republicans -- -- thinking all that well John Boehner is -- domestic actually it's embarrassing to watch what's that.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- But I know John Boehner and I really like it I just don't know what's going on with this negotiation we'll all the cards they had the cards.

They're losing the cards rapidly.

And and these people are just taking by the have to -- and the Republicans -- -- I think that it is interesting because ultimately it's very bad for the nation what's happened.

Environs of a good point is exactly what I was thinking actually and wonder if John Boehner other members of congress have reached out to expert negotiators.

Like yourself and others to see if they could get any advice and did you ever get any phone calls -- and.

That is true it's not really about expert negotiators this is almost irrelevant since this is I think -- -- -- negotiations this is like basic 101 comets that.

What's going on his incredible right.

EST cards -- I don't know he still has to cut to be honest -- losing them because they'll lose -- so much credibility.

The Republicans are losing all of their credibility.

But fundamentally it embarrassed -- do with a president who is on record saying.

We don't have a spending problem so would makes it challenging negotiate with someone who doesn't -- the problem is the problem.

But I finally just real quickly New York Times front page story.

Talks about all these insurance companies with under obamacare have to raise their rates have to ask permission to raise their rates to make ends meet.

Up to 22%.

Major companies because of obamacare in these new rules your thoughts -- Everybody knew that we knew that going and everybody knew that when they voted and it's only getting worse and actually it turned out to be much worse than they originally thought and a lot of businesses to go to -- go out of business because they can't afford it.

Everybody do it when that bill was passed it was going to be it -- or they're gonna put them on the government program will be to see what happens but it's good because what -- the other it's gonna cost a lot of money.

And it's not a good thing.

Yeah also one way or another several times today sitting at that great big desk of his overlooking.

Downtown New York City Donald Trump will be doing some tweeting if you'd like to follow him his Twitter handle is -- real Donald Trump.

Real Donald Trump thank you very much for joining us front and you very much always a pleasure I'm -- his -- titans so you know this I will go put that this is real -- it's fashion from this group really.

Does that I gotta get myself on and I.
