And let's go over here now we're gonna talk to Laura to -- she is with iRobot if you're not familiar with -- iRobot.
They do some incredible things we probably know mostly about I robot from.
The robots -- they've built for the home with a lot of other things that I robot does as well not just for the home but also for the military.
For.
Office space you name it.
-- is here nice to see a lower nice to see eighteen it's not a -- it is so cold in here how are you doing this -- -- Yeah.
Just been doing -- -- the -- -- we should tell people you're just joining us it is so cold here in the event to be doors open here at CES went all of these forklifts come in and around 630 degrees in here are some holding this coffee to be a little warm.
We sit down my iPad.
Don't think you -- -- my iPad down.
And then we will dive into what iRobot is working on this your -- have new this year -- -- I didn't mean just launched -- new outdoor cleaning products and it's the first time that I take your actor category internationally.
So the first one is in the -- -- they're equal cleaning robots this is the first time is going to be available anywhere in the world starting this spring.
And selvin didn't think he added to it told me we did the whole robots and super easy easy and -- -- Paula now if I didn't know cleanup leaves him at anything else any other every evening at it covers the whole -- kind of similar format to the room not just on everybody intelligence for cynics have little old school.
Kind of the walls that extra time around the -- -- products out he bacteria are they really do really good job of cleaning up is that bottom line we wanted him.
Even like if you eating eating easy for me -- -- that.
You've got one laid out in any -- at seven needless to get out of the water don't on -- -- -- to be super heavy like that actual lottery how does this.
Compared to the typical.
Robust that you see at a friend's pool that's been you know zipping around it seems like it's not doing anything it's just kind of laying down their did in the bottom of the pool how does this different.
And this we look at different apple cleaners for so -- getting beat the disease on this planet and the way you -- -- that makes it so much easier.
And -- and -- the day intelligence in the way it's actually about me you're not gonna cover everything.
Make sure it's really get a good job covering them multiple multiple times navigate around obstacles and then another thing with -- Michael -- that they might cast your regular times.
So it actually saves on energy and save them a lot of costs -- -- -- pumping leads and other debris into those -- it's -- going right in here exactly is actually counting the waters even at places like California would have.
Lots around in the long run your son this is gonna come pretty sad thing is it's a typical week.
Right we have a lot of viewers in the south that have nice warm weather on a regular basis -- a lot of use out of this.
I'll also you guys I -- a big fan what you guys do on the outdoor space and the robot.
The iRobot lose this really cool -- tested this in the fall it when your new lines came out now it's available internationally.
-- so this is the only street -- it's actually CES innovations letters that we're pretty sad about this and a great like he said this there's only can we keep -- day on the printed out -- it back up again it's got a leaky -- battery pulled into different runners up.
Because a lithium ion battery is so important.
For this type of technology outdoors you how annoying it is to be outdoors and we have Jeremy Kaplan running our web -- back in new York and -- hearing questions about this you know the lithium ion technology has really made leaps and bounds recently it.
Being outdoors.
You know having battery that you don't have to recharge within twenty minutes and that can last.
Multiple times we know courts are not running over large extension cords on the backyard.
It's really important.
Absolutely and when you look at the use case of a better anywhere like any year anything he -- -- to -- in the fall and very good part of the year it's going to be await your garage sale -- baseline in mean that every ten people out there have just as much power -- -- not in the back now that's.
That's grades -- showed us how this works its site as a remote control he can pull off on the top that's still -- PT with these guys out you know again you imagine that the economic handled here it's gonna going about what -- kind of the latter.
And you put in these wanna make sure the robots aren't any of that yet and I -- green light between now and then you don't -- to.
-- tax kids and that becomes a wirelessly now.
So right here on the handle.
And you can actually control the direction of the -- that the degree I was -- -- this concept right now I wanted to spend our way.
-- it away from the camera on the way down to here yes.
-- And and we kept the meal that is because people have a lot of fun with the rabbi excellent and his -- -- down but we also put iRobot iconic clean baton which overnight -- It's just gonna go down and ten -- and that's the -- it doesn't.
Look at all the little.
Definitely and I think it's got her in years of not making a massive that beautiful paint -- but it's waterproof add to eat -- -- -- Natalie can handle all the disgusting mock it -- that it won't take it out it's really easy.
-- -- Yeah I think they have -- -- out ethical question here you have to make a head I'm just a little bit unclear so do you leave -- in the -- -- -- do you pull it out it's every couple months and then drop it in there -- a letter to get up on the -- something like that.
Yet Jerry -- and how do you leave it in the -- full time are you climb over the -- take -- out when it's done and AEG -- it out still -- you climbing up you know let's put it wants to get it out yet and that's I think.
Yeah I had a really high roofs.
Jeremy -- I tested this man was a real pain and I couldn't get up there -- -- -- myself -- -- matters on the one side with the robot and on the one side that could reach.
Drove all the way out and get out all the Duncan black stuff and all the and it was able to driver right back down and it was.
Yeah getting right back you'd put it in reverse channel come all the way back down and the gutters are clean ready for the winter so -- ice and snow and all that stuff get in there.
It works really well.
I robot does some other things of great in the house -- in the business base because you guys have come up with -- really cool robot to the name of it but Thomas gave me at the moment but it's got a face to it that lets people.
I don't know telling telecommute so they can actually.
And I'll be at the office but be commuting and and face to face what -- office workers.
-- secondary gave up platforms and we've -- at CES last couple years.
And it's a fully autonomous robotic platform -- our whole goal again as did do that advanced technology.
Or robots that things can get around navigate not school related to thank you work around in front of it that Obama stop.
At this predator facing can't -- a robot and belief and institution around.
And it has a whole bunch of different ambient sensors on it creates -- after this season.
He go and -- it is different kinds of applications that can happen as and the first product actually demonstrating -- -- -- this week is actually.
Oh yeah -- developed in partnership with in touch -- patent.
There accompanied -- -- of -- grants and say -- this robot is in these hospitals right now what it's doing it's it's really.
Increasing the quality of acute care emergency can't stay oh now -- specialist doctor can basically beaten and through the robot and -- there to interact directly with the patient.
And an easy thing you know we'll just and other kinds of medallions to the end of the robot machines information back into the -- and that's great.
Soon back -- back in New York got -- -- we have -- specific questions coming in on Twitter or otherwise for Laura from -- if not we will -- our device -- for now and then jump -- there's a product -- anything.
I was -- post your -- -- -- actually James writes in this ABC was -- -- -- like to get one about the pool cleaning robot.
I think what's great about what -- -- I robot does is.
People think about robots they think oh the things that NASA does the giant robots that that -- factories and whatnot.
But robot is really very generic very simple terms of -- -- on itself in a very small and simple way.
And they've taken robotic technology really brought it into the homes and it is something that's very accessible forever -- I think it's a wonderful thing.
Yeah absolutely iRobot has been an incredible thing to work -- one of their offices where Laura was explained here today her cubicle.
A broad policy see they're working just came in -- cubicle started staring at her.
Let's play -- it really -- it's become the things they're reading your -- I don't really get -- talk about it and I didn't -- critical area just look at Jeff since you were the -- -- thanks so much any kind and which people can learn more by going iRobot dot com accidentally OK check out all of the other stuff and iRobot dot com we'll give our thanks to -- here and we'll come back.
