The Fox News alert a new report has just come out.

I'm Planned Parenthood the women's health care and abortion provider received more than half a billion dollars.

In taxpayer money last year asterisk to bring you our America's Newsroom morning everybody I'm -- from the -- And I'm Bill Hemmer good morning again this report across its short time ago -- Planned Parenthood received 542.

Million dollars.

In government funding in subsidies in the same time there abortion services increase -- cancer screening and prevention services apparently dropped.

-- that has gotten a lot of attention this morning I'm joined now by Jonah Goldberg.

And -- at large of the national review and a Fox News contributor Joan good morning I -- when -- what what's your take on this put it in perspective for us.

Yeah.

I think this is one of these things that is going to put Planned Parenthood back in the cross hairs.

Washington again.

At some point soon a Mitt Romney had won these great lines.

From an otherwise not to agree.

The campaign.

Where you said you know look I'm not gonna spend money on anything but I don't think it's worth borrowing money from China for -- -- And right now we now know that Planned Parenthood is getting nearly over half a billion dollars from the little -- from taxpayers.

That we're essentially borrowing big chunks of from China at a pay for abortions and the simple fact is that you -- -- -- weather your pro life -- pro choice.

You have no idea the Planned Parenthood is anything other than an abortion chain.

Is really misleading.

That -- that outfit basically.

Is -- an abortion provider and they use these other things -- women's health and mammograms and all the rest.

As a cover to be essentially abort abortion provider and the federal government for a lot of people shouldn't be in the business of -- YE -- you know that they would take issue with that and they would say that they do provide a lot of mammograms they provide birth control.

They provide a lot of free services for its worth whatever not otherwise afford them.

Glad they don't do any mammograms they refer people to get mammograms that they don't do any mammograms at all and that's one of the things and they -- -- only 3% of their activities are abortion.

But have yet -- talk -- anybody who's actually looked into the numbers.

-- something for -- like 40% of their non government revenues are from abortions.

And what they do is they say they give you a handful of birth control they give you you know -- BV six fax birth control and they given you an abortion and so 17 -- what they do.

Is abortion.

It's a lot of statistical numbers playing to hide the fact that simple fact is that -- government already spent billions upon billions of dollars for Willie women's health.

Through Medicare Medicaid and other government programs.

Planned Parenthood its function and what it raises money for is to be abortion provider.

If there was a quote in that the release from -- that basically said look at spend you know sending -- Fagen very tough year for us.

We faced a lot of challenges but it was sort of a victorious note in -- when we come through it.

Very strong and -- its attested to the fact that they've gotten a ton of money from the US government from taxpayers.

Yeah.

-- -- -- and they ended the -- they have -- they ended.

Over you know what was it out -- nearly 400000 pregnancies which is you know basically the population of Cleveland.

And and taxpayers and it paid for large chunks of it and you know that is something that it seems to me perfectly legitimate to be.

In the put it in the political playing field and I think -- he was Diane black.

Is gonna reintroduce.

The -- bill which was and I aimed -- Send me the current environment -- 88 you know -- what do you think about where this goes from here I don't think this particular -- -- get a lot of play.

In a lot of places.

No it's not I think is one of these sort of sleeper things you know where.

-- right now given where the debt ceiling is and all the rest in the confirmation battle in the coming down the pike we're not gonna see this as a front and center issue right now.

But I I would expect that they're going to be Republicans in the house and some in the senate they were gonna push for -- for another effort to defund Planned Parenthood.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and you know we may hear about it in the context of the debt ceiling fight and the fiscal crisis fight because a lot of people are pushing for conservatives to become much more specific.

And -- of listing the places where they do think that money could be cut.

By these programs that they haven't been specific enough so perhaps it'll take shape in that form.

John we will say thank you so -- -- Great to be here that you don't.
