It's -- meanwhile another big news this morning vice president Joseph Biden.

Is meeting in about an hour with gun violence victims and safety organizations.

As the White House -- a hard push now.

For tighter gun control as I was at a brand new hour of America's Newsroom good morning again everybody I'm Martha.

An account I'm Bill Hemmer good morning -- vice president's task force will meet with a number of groups this week.

Including the NRA tomorrow and -- in the entertainment and video game industries on Friday of this week and the vice president will give recommendations and to the president at the end of the month and is said to be considering measures well beyond.

An assault weapons ban chief.

Political correspondent Carl Cameron joins us now live from Washington -- -- the scene for us this morning.

Well this is a clear attempt by the White House as they've virtually stated to jump start -- gun legislation after the shooting Rampage.

That left twenty children -- at an elementary school in Connecticut last month.

So Biden's gun violence task force could make its recommendations in fact as soon as next week they are in a hurry and make no bones about it.

There are a variety of things going on today a talk with victims' groups and gun safety organizations.

Thursday's Biden Biden's task force as you -- -- -- with sportsmen and hunting groups as well as the NRA which is staunchly against any ban -- assault weapons.

Or the restriction of high capacity ammo clips.

Biden is already suggested and the president is interested in banning military style assault weapons and restricting high capacity ammunition clips.

Other steps could include things like the creation of a national database to track weapons and increase mental health efforts to spot and help people in trouble.

Biden is also agreed to meet with the represented as of the entertainment video game -- -- -- that's not exactly clearly -- it could come Friday.

Other talking about two to three days worth of meetings with that -- announcement potentially of some of the recommendations as soon as next week but definitely for the month.

Inches and so really all the players in this conversation -- are getting some.

Meetings and -- analyst with Vice President Biden this week but as you mentioned Carl he will meet with the NRA and gun rights advocates have been very clear that they are dead again.

On this issue right the NRA.

Has agreed to send a representative who's going there to listen.

And there really is.

A big sort of circling the wagons around -- Second Amendment right now various groups are already mobilizing politically to try to block anything that might infringe on the Second Amendment.

And a new coalition of gun rights organizations and conservative groups has just proclaimed January 19.

-- appreciation day.

And they are now formally urging Americans nationwide to show their support for gun ownership by turning out and -- on the nineteenth that gun stores -- gun ranges and -- gun shows.

All of the country.

In attempt to sort of build the defense of the Second Amendment nothing is when congress gets back from other vacation right now.

There's an awful lot on the agenda the debt ceiling the sequester immigration reform climate change a lot of very very polarizing.

And in some -- it's unpopular legislation.

Adding a gun debate to that which is also very controversial could be a tough thing to do the -- -- after them thank you very much -- -- and also.
