Can be good morning everybody -- alert right now the White House says it might use executive orders to go around congress and push through new gun walls and America.

Setting off alarm bells among gun rights advocates and possibly.

Setting up a -- showdown over the separation of powers.

That would be intriguing good morning everybody and welcome to America's news from start a whole new day here Bill Hemmer good morning -- how you do on morning.

-- morning everybody I'm Mike -- account -- vice president Joseph Biden.

-- today.

With the NRA and Wal-Mart -- -- to be a pretty contentious meeting to power houses really in the gun industry they are but it's Biden's comments that got got owners fired up yesterday.

Here's some of that.

The president.

It is going factor executive -- -- executive action can be taken we haven't decided what yet.

We're compiling all -- the attorney general.

And all the rest -- first.

As well.

Live -- we believe require.

Well this is -- -- Sort of double what type of order would fit in executive mandate in this case.

But think there -- a couple different things that the White House is considering one would be.

Harvesting the information that is already available to open wide variety of government agencies.

And passing that on to the FBI for inclusion in its database that who can and cannot.

By guns things that would indicate mental health problems.

What have you I think they're also.

Potentially looking at recess appointing the head of the ATF the alcohol tobacco and firearms.

Bureau which hasn't had a head since 2006.

Those are a couple of the things that the White House might be looking at doing sort on its own.

-- but were about to dive back into the debt fight.

And the spending issues in Washington Mitch McConnell says that's gonna take up the next few months of time.

So you start -- to see the strategy as to why the White House would pursue executive action.

If they follow the president said after -- town that he's he's not gonna -- on its.

Right I mean it's been interesting we've seen in the white house of course do this here for a White House that came in a president that came in.

Having real than the 2008 campaign against some of the overreach of executive power.

He has shown gotten very little restraint in using executive power himself whether you're talking about immigration.

-- a wide variety of other things that he -- in the first term not to expand his power to do the kinds of things that he wanted to get done.

But wouldn't be able to get done legislatively I think we're looking at exactly the same kind of scenario here what kind of push back.

Would you anticipate.

If it goes forward.

Very strong and I think you -- you alluded to the kind of push that back that we're likely here I think we're likely -- push back on substance you're gonna have.

Republicans and others saying look this is not something that we should be doing it's not good.

Gun control hasn't worked you look at the assault weapons ban it was in place for ten years -- didn't actually.

Do anything to reduce the amount of gun related violence crime I think you're also -- here objections that would be based on process people to say look Mr.

President.

You can't do the kinds of things that you're talking about doing if he goes beyond.

A couple of the sort of the small smaller scale things that that have been reported the White House is looking something to watch and we certainly well thank you Steve Stephen -- there -- -- standard Fox News contributor.

Down there in Washington -- market.
