-- president Obama's cabinet nominations drawing some new criticism that his second term.
Is shaping up to be a boys' club this photo was on the cover.
The New York Times yesterday it's a December Oval Office photo and it says the president with ten -- visible mail advisors in this picture.
Apparently one was blocking senior advisor Valerie -- but she was apparently in the pictures well.
Then they released this picture perhaps a little bit of speed control.
PR.
That has a lot of women and it says mr.
Obama with five mile -- and three female advisors.
And Valerie Valerie Jarrett obviously center stage in front of the desk in the Oval Office there.
Say yeah the reason this is of interest is that during the election governor Mitt Ronnie came under a lot of fire.
When he mentioned hiring women during his tenure in Massachusetts.
Member this moment.
I went to a number of women's groups and said can you help us find folks I brought us.
-- binders full of -- women.
Editors full of women from that DD bank he joins me now she -- -- campaign and to president George.
She -- embarrasses Daily Beast -- -- Fox News contributor.
You know added it's ironic -- send because they you know we know that Mitt Romney had a lot of women in his cabinet a lot of women advisors he got a lot of heat for that miners all of women comment perhaps -- justifiably so listen I'm the most artful phrase.
To be sure but what about these pictures and what about president Obama's record on all of this given the fact that he he did quite well with women election.
Yeah why I think that one of the things is that I talk about -- a -- I consider myself a feminist.
But then when I watched what went honoring the election and the way.
Mitt Romney was treated and that this sort of hypocrisy where you know -- it -- the binders full of women was really ridiculed and you know he was treated like he was a misogynist basically.
And then they -- you see a picture elect this what.
You know with President Obama and then you have the -- basically.
Basically making excuses -- being in -- -- markets wrote something saying.
You know it's bad but it's not an outrageous like really -- it was an out it's an outraged if it's a Republican and I think that this is why.
When they survey women and they ask you do you consider yourself a feminist most women saying no because that -- -- movement is so.
One sided it's just it's really just a -- like her and water -- democratic.
-- that that goes along app that -- -- some of the numbers here because we there's a comparison of you know how presidents have done in terms of a gender.
Equality I guess for lack of a better phrase -- here's that women in the cabinet.
President Obama so far has nine to the first term President Bush had ten total.
Bill Clinton had seventeen total.
You know but but what -- by -- as a woman.
Eight I like these numbers compare -- to me it's like you don't get extra points spur more women.
I just want to see in -- sort of people's chosen because they're the best person for the job.
And -- I was I think back to the relationship between Condoleezza Rice and President Bush be she chooses his closest friend and it advisor confidant -- by many accounts.
And he never -- you never seem to seek points for that.
That she was a woman that she was a black woman wasn't discussed why well that's true and I think because Condoleezza Rice with such an incredible woman and so Smart.
But here's the deal.
Barack Obama -- his campaign.
Was constantly hounding.
Mitt Romney and talking about how he was going to be better for women and how there is the war on women and it was all about women and I think women frankly.
I mean the independent women that it fits the group -- voted him then I understand this there are a lot of capable women in Washington DC and to our to our country.
He can't find any to be in the top cabinet spots I don't like it and I think it's bad and that's how my usually -- of the Republican Party.
I mean I always want to see more women I'm very pro -- I'd like to see some cabinet spots right away and that picture.
You know that was wrong I mean they're definitely needs to be some women that look like he man woman haters club I mean there isn't hope remembers -- -- -- -- that we need to see some women at the top but.
At the top of the cabinet post it's really important -- -- the numbers is the twenty some.
Election President Obama won 55%.
Of the female vote.
Mitt Romney got only 44% clearly that was an area that heard -- -- and boy they spent a whole lot of time of the Democratic Convention.
Some would say pandering to women think of -- -- in a lot of the appearances there.
But this quote from Margaret Carlson she is sort of has -- different take on this she says -- problem is that he doesn't look beyond his notes he Eagles already on his foreign policy advisory board.
Carry -- now with him during debate wrap Obama may be resting on his laurels she's basically -- -- a lot of good women out there but he's just service and I admire your good buddy.
My two what did you come might take this position with me here's to what do you think about that.
But I love Margaret Carlson but she's making excuses I mean -- that this is -- thing they make excuses for Obama.
But they wouldn't if it was if it was Mitt Romney it's not that's not the problem.
I mean is it this is not the first time that this is that that I can tell you from working in democratic politics that.
Having worked in the Clinton White House and so on that this is something that democratic women -- complain about behind the scenes if you look at pictures of President Bush.
Condoleezza rice's you know always by his side you look at the picture after 9/11 has you know Karen Hughes Mary model and Condoleezza Rice in the picture.
Bill Clinton inner circle were all men all -- -- pretty much mostly white man.
And then it's so it in and I think the issue is is that -- if you're gonna go out and and clean that you wall are the party of women inning giving me a great is your account and -- yeah I would -- it became.
Honestly -- -- I would just say at the and that it's to me I think that numbers are less important than actions actions are always more powerful than words so it's you know who.
Who using your inner circle who do you trust and who -- you choose to be buyers are planning or whenever I want -- accent.
That everybody's qualifications whether they are are male or female Houston and DD thank you -- my favorite winning here.
