The National Rifle Association is not very happy with the meeting that they had yesterday with vice president Joseph Biden.

The NRA says -- the talk was last about making kids safe and more about attacking the Second Amendment.

The vice president says that he will make his recommendation to the president of what he thinks they should do on Tuesday.

There's got to be some common ground here.

To not solve every problem.

But diminish.

The probability.

That what we've seen in these mass -- to -- Peter DC on this live from the White House this morning so Peter why specifically -- the NRA so I'm happy with sort of the tenor.

Of that meeting.

Martha because as you just said from where the NRA was sitting at that meeting they feel.

That the focus was too much on what they describe as an agenda to attack the Second Amendment and not enough.

On keeping children safe in the NRA president David Keane who has had a chance to sleep on what his represented at at that meeting told him.

-- on -- DC radio station this morning and described why he thinks the Biden led task force will fail.

We feel very strongly that gun crime needs to be prosecuted vigorously and that is not happening.

Under this administration.

The president and the vice president on the other hand blame everything on firearms.

And we know enough and we've got a little experience -- arms and what works and what doesn't work just think that what we're talking about is essentially cosmetic feel -- legislation.

That will not prevent another -- sound much as they'd like to do that.

And Vice President Biden said yesterday that he thinks a great deal can be done to reduce gun violence without and changing.

On the rights guaranteed by the Second Amendment but the IN RA clearly Martha sees things a little bit differently.

Yeah they really do and all of the discussions about this Peter.

Everybody seems to feel that there are a number of the sort of legs to this tool -- that they get about a solution.

So vice president -- a couple more meetings on -- today right.

He does it's very complex everyone acknowledges that it's a very complex issue today at 215 the vice president is gonna -- some representatives.

From the video game industry and we haven't seen Monday's schedule yet but.

Since he told his boss President Obama that he will have his recommendations on.

The president's desk by Tuesday this is likely one of its final meetings in the vice president says.

That just about everyone he's met with so far agrees on one -- I've never quite heard -- much talk about the need to do something about high capacity magazines.

I've heard.

Spontaneous.

From every group that -- met with so far.

And the fact the vice president is meeting with some folks from Silicon Valley just one day after he met with representatives from the entertainment industry signals that this administration.

Has not just focusing on guns and ammunition but also on the way.

That guns and ammunition are seen on the big screen and on computer screens Martha.

Peter thank you.
