Personal story segment tonight we are beginning a new -- called are we crazy.
Because let's face -- the USA's changing rapidly and some things that are happening.
Kind of nuts they're -- out without our first effort doctor -- far psychologist and attorney.
And from Los Angeles doctor Wendy Walsh human behavior expert and author of the upcoming book.
The thirty day love detox.
And I.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Nag now -- he's Logan a -- lying and and drinking a beer in a bar and you say.
I fencing cat scans of both and the red wine that you and I like to drink bill is the -- thought our brains.
But.
You're right they shouldn't be getting in cars until we have -- allies -- that can detect that there's marijuana in their system okay on I don't drink.
Doctor -- an -- You weren't person may be at Santa something that.
-- -- -- -- You know this is the argument that you can have a glass of wine.
And the beer and that's exactly the same as sitting there and -- 64 in Denver Colorado this.
All night it's no difference and you -- bill I think you've got the answer which is you've made a personal choice not to drink.
The problem is is we are becoming too permissive than our society and too many people are doing that should be legislated should adults be able to go out have a join if they want to I say absolutely yes I think we need more people like you to say I'm gonna put the brakes on my own behavior -- -- and good night.
Our -- American being a society now that looks like it's going to embrace another intoxicated.
And this filters down doctor Walsh to children.
You know when I was growing up with reefer madness the movie and all -- that we were propaganda dies and the thinking that marijuana was bad and then this.
Vietnam thing came in and out flew out the window.
However it is and and toxic it and -- children are being told you know why it's just like of the year it's okay.
And I'll tell you why I know enough about this world to know if a child smokes marijuana that child.
This child -- -- by the way they can never come back and they're altered forever and it's a bad thing.
But the message that we're -- now is that it's OK doctor Walsh and you say.
I'd say that it's okay to have these freedoms for adults if you're only gonna put that money towards.
Protecting our young ones protecting our kids and people were not interested in pursuing this.
And build this not about morals -- this is about money anyway you know governments are getting themselves out of debt in states and cities because they're taxing the stuff so much.
They're also not -- saving money on -- resting and it.
Hopefully they're there they tax the hell I don't I don't -- now not incarcerating.
Nothing -- I I don't have money coming calling.
Let's look I'm not calling for anybody to -- incarcerated.
Okay I'm saying the message that we're sending.
-- -- we are becoming a very permissive culture here much like Holland are right.
And in Holland it's a disaster.
These clubs are disastrous.
Right because that clause so many social problems.
And this guy and Denver saying you've been able to walk out they're going to be ups we find that's not true yes and no I I totally agree with you in one sense bill.
Here's the problem the problem is parents aren't regulating and teaching kids were more narcissistic the research shows were more narcissistic and -- Catholic and we were twenty your parental authority is what I.
I know there -- -- we shouldn't have to legislate it recognized but we do we don't need more aligned with switched doctor Walsh to this study.
That comes out of the centers for disease control and only have a minute on this.
Showing that binge drinking is increasing among women big -- your reaction tonight.
I think that you know my feminist sisters hate it when I talk this way but men -- women seem to be adopting a male model of everything.
And when it comes to our biology we just can't do with the reason why women are binge drinking if they're trying to keep up with men -- have a bigger hot a bigger body weight and metabolize alcohol better.
So the statistics are terrible like something like one in eight women binge drink at least three times a month and that's as many as six drinks.
So they can't I don't think women should be a sexually like man I don't think women should drink like men and women need to learn that there there isn't equality -- we're driving -- Perfect biology that's very different last question doctor force why are so many American women should.
Well I think the research is just didn't specifically address that -- that.
I think that one hypothesis is that they're acting more like men.
I think another hypothesis is -- that women are in positions that are stressful and they are turning to alcohol as an easy stress reliever.
Ladies thanks very much.
