Don't franchises right now as he does every Monday morning he's also the author of time to get tough and -- -- in this program Donald Mauritania.

Good morning I'm sure you were what does a copy of your book right -- go get it it's terrific.

I'm sure you're watching the Hollywood Foreign Press Association last night celebrate with their Golden Globe awards did you think.

-- lose interest being that the big winner last night was Ben Affleck it's movie.

Where it showed the United States tramping it triumph -- -- -- -- being.

Over me or rainy and in the hostage situation who's a pro American film and then.

He got -- snubbed by the Oscar folks know nod for best record just like Kathleen Billy Bigelow.

Who has in the past 11.

But because her movie zero dark thirty was pro American showing.

You know exactly what it took to finally get bin Laden do you think both those films are being punished by Oscar because they're pro American movies.

-- I don't think so and now here they are both very good movies and Ben Affleck really I think he's done it.

Terrific job as director -- -- -- -- and I think it was terrible that he was -- because he really has done a good job so.

Maybe this is just the hitting may be -- needed a little bit of those but Ben Affleck really did do a great job and I thought it was great that -- -- less than it.

And I -- it's interesting that -- there's a reason to maybe watch the Golden Globes and the Oscars because maybe you don't see exactly the same.

Same winners and people get credited in in different ways.

I think there's a golden gloves drugs have become quite a bit bigger than they were I think it's sort of -- -- -- job of NBC.

Frankly has done an amazing job of building it up and I think the Golden -- really have done that have become much bigger than they were even five or ten years ago.

-- -- is interest seen that both as soon as I've mentioned -- you know there hailed by the foreign press.

And yet they're not gonna wind up with Oscar nods for the directors at the big a -- American award show of the Academy Awards which used to bad.

Which is really -- bit.

-- all right what about this a let's switch gears a moment Donald Trump.

I'm sure you've been listening over the last couple weeks we've been talking here on the Fox News Channel about how the journal news.

Which is -- chain of suburban newspapers.

Owned by the USA today people they published a list of 44000.

Legal gun owners.

And their homes and their names and they -- appear on that interactive map that we're showing right there.

Well apparently over the weekend according to Newsday.

Some bad guys broke -- is a seventy year old guy's house I believe open White Plains they knew exactly what they were looking for they knew he had guns and they tried to steal his gun safe.

What what do you make of what they did the newspaper in publishing those names now given the fact that you know this poor guy subject to violence.

What I think what they did is terrible I think they shouldn't have been allowed some states have laws against what they did but what they did was terrible it's a troubled paper you know they're down over 50% of the list.

Number of years in terms of circulation so it's a very troubled paper I don't know -- this is actually from a business standpoint you know you never know with good publicity bad publicity but.

I don't know of this is good or bad for them.

But what they did was terrible and let's see what happens with them but they are really suffering there's a paper.

If there there's so far down and everybody talks about it but of course a lot of other papers spoke hard data to basic yeah I think we'll talk with -- that -- Newspapers editorializing of course many people said well they were editorial realizing from -- liberal point of view in May be a knee jerk reaction to what happened in Newtown Connecticut but.

-- most people are now saying these are legal gun owners -- put a lot of people.

In jeopardy.

There's a guy named senator Greg ball in New York who's introducing now two bills to try and exempt the disclosure.

Of these private citizens information and also efforts to protect police officers in such.

-- because they could also be in -- of their information is Leno would you agree with that.

Well I would -- you know you have beyond even the police officers or at least -- protect themselves but certainly should be giving up their addresses but you have women you have a woman who is being stalked.

By a maniac.

And Q moved and she left and she put a gun to protect yourself and she was issue is you know her actress was given that now that particular person.

Is starting to caller again and you know you know it's it's terrible what happened that terrible what they've done -- Let's see what happens to them and I don't know of suits are going to be brought against several what's gonna happen but.

You know it's again it's a paper that it desperately needs help.

-- justice is done let's talk -- respect enemy used to publicity you've had more publicity than any person in the world and it rolls off your back.

What do regular people do when they're -- by this outfit that puts them in jeopardy talk about suits.

They did have the ability to sue these people but they're kind of really get raked over the coals big time and their families are being put in jeopardy -- -- You're you're -- great lawyer I know if you go back to.

But you play great lawyer and and -- a good client that you that I actually pay my bill that's very good but.

You you know exactly what I'm talking about what -- say that I think it may very well have a lawsuit against the journal that is because.

You know what's taken place at least in certain circumstances -- -- -- place.

Is absolutely terrible it's -- that happen.

And I don't think that the year journals -- is free of any guilt or free of any yet damages I think that.

Somebody would very well have a lawsuit against the journal news in a certain circumstance like as an example -- woman that was being -- So what you what happens I think a lot of interest think things will happen here.

Let's talk a little bit about Jack -- he's former chief -- current chief of staff and about to get a new role under President Obama.

You know it's interesting because you -- White House chief of staffs from time to time you hear more about he sort of been in the background -- people who know him say these a very hardened it's tough negotiator now he's going to be.

-- secretary of the treasury if he gets passed a confirmation do you think that this is a good idea for Jack -- to be in this position you know him.

Well I think he has to develop a -- signature that's what the next as united signatures amazing when you look at it and you know I really actually do analyze handwriting I think you can tell a lot about a person by the -- and -- handwriting is not quite as bad as people think it's extremely secretive they -- that he's a very very secretive person unbelievably.

Secretive and -- with -- which in itself is interesting but it really is almost not handwriting but more importantly.

He said and very strongly that the Obama plan Obama plans -- What he was going to submit in terms of budgets and everything else would be to reduce the deficit.

Well he knew that wasn't true and the deficits gotten through the roof but he said this to congress as -- got through the roof since then so.

It really did and you know there are a lot of Republicans and one Democrat but there are a lot of Republicans that didn't like his testimony is -- it was balls.

And -- we'll see what happens he's going to probably get -- It's going to get it.

A lot of things aren't being stopped the Republicans have not found a good way to stop things and I'm not sure necessarily he should it's -- this was.

The president stories -- the president did win the election the president.

It does have the right to make appointment to this is one of his appointments but what he told congress was totally false.

And probably knowingly false.

I'm sure when he's called before that senate committee he's gonna have an -- explanation of what he meant then and what he means.

Well they would just say it's been terrible statement and they couldn't have been more wrong -- and it turns out to be that case.

All right mr.

trump thank you very much have a great week we'll see you back here on FOX & Friends since Monday.

Fantastic -- the -- think.
