Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Maria Molina from the fox extreme weather center with the forecast for the northeast and -- they -- -- me enjoying very mild temperatures.

Across places in the northeast like Boston New York City and even across Washington DC temperatures.

Into the fifties well above average for the month of January but as we head westward we already have some cold air moving into portions interior northeast -- Pittsburgh 38 degrees for a high temperature today.

31 over in Detroit when he's in Chicago and even colder as we head into portions of the midwest at the Minneapolis.

We're going to be seeing high temperature -- just eleven degrees and very frigid day -- across places in the upper midwest in cold.

And it's gonna say that we as we -- next couple of days.

We are gonna be seeing some changes we live across eastern portions of the northeast along on any -- quarter that mild air is -- mean moving out to see we have a strong close and it's heading east and and this system will keep things rather -- for today along with some -- in the area some showers.

And also some dense fog that we've been having to deal with throughout the morning hours it will clear out for some mean for some of you won't really be clearing out -- you could be seeing some delays on some of those bigger airport -- long -- five quarter.

Otherwise drier weather across portions of the Great Lakes section of course is in you live.

Right off of the -- where you could be looking at a little bit of snow as we head into next couple of days this frontal boundary is going to be rather slow moving so it's actually going to be.

Continuing to produce some areas of rain showers across place in the northeast.

By late Tuesday into Wednesday we could be seeing some heavy rain across in DC area and also parts of New Jersey keep that in mind as well be living New York City.

As some of that cold air begins to move -- spill into portions of the northeast he will be transitioning some of that -- bought into snow across central Pennsylvania parts of upstate New York.

And even into southern New England to keep that in mind as he -- -- Wendy could be looking at some wintry weather out here.

Across interior portions of the northeast that's good -- we actually do need more snow here across northeast haven't seen a whole lot of it.

So far this winter otherwise the Great Lakes -- relatively quiet and dry and by the end of the work week Thursday into Friday they're gonna be seeing much colder temperatures in place.

Across places in the northeast like -- in New York City and down into the mid Atlantic so enjoy the mild temperatures way have a -- -- some changes in store for us.
