Since I think everybody's playing politics and -- power it if I -- the Republican leaders right now I absolutely would say.

When we -- -- we understand we're not gonna we're not and do anything about this we won't vote.

To allow this debt ceiling to go up but I would not force my members to vote that way you -- so your bottom -- how.

Looking -- sounding like one I mean the problem is we have Tea Party Republicans.

Who -- seem to believe and I was like get it you you believe what you believe fight for but just don't put the country and state we thought something should be off limits and I think.

I now -- the President Obama was making that point when he said that Social Security benefits.

Checks won't go out veterans' checks won't go act.

I have this is like to happen now when you one could say.

The data is playing the indeed the politics of emotions but.

It's true to what I they're -- -- the president gets to make the choices of what gets paid and what doesn't get paid.

-- and then when but probably -- best and I'll get the government got cut shut down under President Clinton.

President Clinton chose not to pay those things it put a lot of political pressure to reopen it got me.

This might have implications for twenty for 2014 for the Republicans so I think -- -- take a step back on this.

But I do believe that the Republicans are gonna fight really hard when that when they have the opportunity to.

What's -- -- we get a deal ultimately I think there will be deal I it really what cost of people like to -- I don't think it'll be Acosta John Boehner moment that I thought actually I think John Boehner is one of the grownups.

In congress -- Harry Reid is definitely not so that is one of the reasons why Mitch McConnell called -- Joseph Biden because at least Joseph Biden know how to negotiate.

Harry Reid will negotiate.

So when you look at the way that that that politics is working out too good to shape public policy right now.

What is happening as John Boehner.

It is my belief.

Coming out he's gonna come out smelling like -- -- was eventually -- allow this debt limit to go off.

Which they've already essentially voted on as the president pointed out they voted to spend the money right so they need to let it go up.

And then but they need to tie it carefully and heavily.

On the president that if they make this vote -- he will come back and cut spending.

And he will cut spending drastically and effectively.

In the entitlement programs which he does not when he's.

That I would guys -- in his life otherwise it just point out that he said in the speech.

That he would look act what he called -- moderate.

Modifications to Medicare Brad doesn't sound like that sort of drastic drastic -- what I'm saying is what about defense spending Republicans always seem to feel like defense spending -- somehow off the table which I think is an appropriate I think we should look at that.

And that but that's that's the sequestration.

And at the of that but it -- it's all tied the situation as well entitlements that's coming along that's not necessarily attached to that was fiscal -- Now this is a different thing.

And that is not just put up.

We got through that weekend -- sequestration I'll kick in our current winning didn't.

It through and don't just -- down the middle they've pushed down -- -- and the right there is a double there can be a double vote on sequestration so we'll see how that plays out.

As they said he took my background checks being message -- necessary you know obviously greater background checks.

That he said it was sensible.

He also said some of those proposals may be achievable through legislative action some may be achievable through executive order when do you think he's going with a.

Let me explain why Harry Reid.

Senator Reid once an executive order on of the assault weapons ban me because Harry Reid has voted against the assault weapons -- And -- -- several Democrats may feel that an executive order -- them off the political sadly you're Jonathan and why not.

They but the other thing about the assault weapons ban is that it defines the guns you all you have to do with an ordinary gun is -- to evade the law is changed the stock you put layup put would.

Or a plastic.

You know this would change the stock -- -- -- it change the gun a little bit and you have.

That you have not band that -- it's a different content doesn't come under the law.

It did not work it is not going to work America or Americans to stop drinking under -- they're gonna stop stop wanting their guns.

When I came in on the train this morning there is that there's a poster for a new movie called the Americans.

Two people make a woman with a handle their heart saying the pledge of allegiance and what are they have this -- I've -- you we are gun culture.

And we need to recognize that and try to do some.

Violent videos and there's like we might get a look at this mental health issues that -- and -- stops.

Right guns I -- I had my point -- -- always is is the mentally he'll put the mentally ill person.

-- might be mentally ill might be aggressive.

But he's not a mentally ill person with a gun unless he can get a gun.

That's correct and I think there's a couple things one is the -- on background checks we could definitely be more forceful -- that right.

I think the high capacity magazines -- urban -- makes no sense to me at all.

Assault weapons and urban areas make no sense to me at all I mean I I don't live in honor their -- want to speak to -- to those locations I think there are very common sense things we can do.

To reduce the damage that someone who's mentally deranged can can Mexico -- And so that's what I think.

Common sense people resistant -- always part of this and what measures would you agree with.

All -- tonight I think large capacity magazines -- at that and that's again.

I was I think what they haven't had a party by definition.

Right now a lot of people in -- -- who don't believe that -- -- -- -- given that we shouldn't do that you cannot tell.

Let's let -- Lola I think as many people in the Republican Party who would not -- that at all -- and I think that's something that would go through congress OK but I also.

I also think background checks full background checks.

Full background check that has a national registry I'm totally in for a -- -- that and I think there are some people in my party that might go for that night but I also know.

That the NRA -- there's there's a couple of things here the Angel and wants no change at all and more people are buying guns right now than ever have before -- We -- some extraordinary pictures around the weekend of the numbers of people lined up and consoles etc.
