It feels like helping -- -- -- told a friend of mine.
Even -- I I sit behind this microphone I try to be civil and so forth I can barely contain my fury but what's gone on in this country and of this being honest with.
I can barely contain -- so frustrated by this -- who have no idea.
-- we can we can analyze it we can electoral -- and we can Parse it and so forth and trying to unravel it but I'm just telling you from an emotional point of view it is just so -- infuriating.
You see the greatest country in the face of the -- Run by a bunch a little solutions -- constantly.
Attacking it from within.
That was radio talk show star Mark Levin complaining about the gun debate in this country and reports that the president will use executive orders to -- -- part of America's gun laws.
But as you heard his complaints go beyond just guns and extended the president's message that he believes the election gave him a mandate to enact all of this policy goals.
Listen to this excerpt from the news conference today.
If we want to have a conversation about how to reduce our deficit let's have that we've been having met for the last two years -- had just had an entire campaign.
About it and by the way the American people agreed -- me.
Joining us now by phone.
Mark -- and mark thanks so much for being back with us.
My pleasure thank you explain that to meat you -- you write about your fury and you're just so frustrated you say in just sort tyranny.
That's right because I'm not into imperial president.
Who act imperial and speak imperial.
And Obama forgets there's a constitution yet he keeps telling -- he won reelection congratulations but guess what the constitution was -- up for election.
It's not up for a plebiscite or referendum.
He has to comply with the two.
He was sent back to Washington but he's got to repeat a strict list of rules but he has -- -- -- president.
So when he gets up there -- start saying if congress doesn't do this I'm gonna do this unilaterally if violates separation of powers a lot of the times.
And this is a man who's been pushing the edge of the envelope as far as I'm concerned whether it's the appointment clause.
Whether it's -- unilateral action on immigration.
Whether it is trashing the commerce clause in the tax clauses under Obama care now they're talking about executive orders on the Second Amendment.
They issued regulations on the First Amendment attacking religious liberty.
This this notion that he might be able to lift the debt ceiling you know I unilaterally under the fourteenth amendment -- -- -- that.
He would elect -- president congratulations.
This guy makes Richard Nixon look like.
A man who who -- all the time I think we don't have an imperial president he can count imperial he's -- has helped.
And you know I'm curious about this and with a title why.
We are magnificent country.
We don't need to be turned up and -- -- -- we don't need to run from crisis to crisis to crisis.
He's bankrupting this country because we've had a discussion about the debt.
Why do we have a discussion about the debt we've had a debate about taxes the man's -- around I have a discussion about anything.
So yes -- causes me to be yet curious but I don't wanna watch and -- him.
And I want to ask you because I know obviously -- -- our viewers -- -- word you know in the middle or on the left.
May not be liking what you're saying America Donna butts butts.
There are a lot of complaints about President Bush being an imperial president and and that there is a question about whether you give the in the chief executive too much power.
Where do you may be upset when the chief executive doesn't share your party label.
And whether you know the frustration this president showing with the house Republicans and even this talk about eliminating the -- -- -- or are curtailing the filibuster of minority in the senate.
You know there's a re entry is agents was built into our constitutional system for -- reason.
Yes -- rise and they can talk about past presidents we could talk about Lincoln we can have a grand old I would go through all the past president of nobody compares to this kind.
I mean those guys have and how all the time bankrupting the country.
-- seizing power in congress.
Threatening the courts.
Attacking successful people.
You know even when it came to bankruptcy in the in the automobile industry re writing via.
The bankruptcy laws people better wake up to this this is not what bush did or what anybody else did this president different and -- -- very very negative way.
And the fact that a lot of people voted for.
Know that that's extremely troubling but the constitution as I said that wasn't up for grabs -- startup program.
You talk about.
The big lie and you believe that the media that there are assisting the president when it comes to this debate about guns.
And this quote big lie what's the big lot.
There are a lot of big lies within the present -- hawk -- -- to pretend media.
They're really having I mean what what what to the media do when he talked about the debt ceiling in the Fourth Amendment today they wanted to present that's actually never been done before that's not the point of it.
Can you explain that being the constitutional genius that you are.
No we have a debate on the debt ceiling do we do we actually talk about the -- well it's all Bush's fault okay.
Guns let's talk about guns and.
There's not a single IPS that is a -- -- -- this White House are being pushed on Capitol Hill that would prevent that these horrific mass murder in Connecticut.
They've dusting off all their wanted to demand and they're trying to poured into this tragedy like they always do.
We have a Second Amendment -- Second Amendment matters.
And so it's not up for grabs with the Biden and Obama up for the or the get go all the governor Marilyn -- all the rest of them -- and yet.
And yet you would think the constitution just another statute for these guys to play with this is why I am serious because once you lose the constitution we're losing it district.
A lot of -- I mean how do we keep these people -- How do you see this emerging with the public is it doesn't sound like he's got the votes in the house.
To pass sweeping gun control legislation so he may in fact it resort to executive.
Action.
President -- George H.
W.
Bush issued an executive order on gun control when he was president he wouldn't be the first to do it where you see the elect how do you see the electorate reacting.
Nobody will be the first to do what every doesn't take battling is very proud -- -- it's not a criticism.
And he wouldn't take it as good as people think it's a wonderful thing.
But our presidents -- they -- executive orders the question is what kind of executive order of the -- and under what conditions that they should the purpose of an executive order.
Isn't just substitute the president's legislative agenda for Congress's legislative agenda the purpose of an executive order frankly.
It's a ministerial act and administrative act with a president who run to the executive branch had to put a policy in place to comply with the law this president is putting his -- of.
Talking about using executive orders and -- congressional legislation out of got to play out I don't know but not very pretty.
Mark Levin thank you.
-- season.
