Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Maria -- -- -- from the fox extreme weather center with your forecast for the northeast and also portions of the Great Lakes.

And is back to reality across portions of the northeast who we're talking not temperatures a lot cooler -- we're talking about over the weekend over the weekend we saw high.

As -- -- sixty degrees in places like New York City but today.

Now into the low forties for you -- New York City upper thirties over in Syracuse in house in the city of Pittsburgh.

Across a great weeks it's been very cool and we're gonna continue to see those cool temperatures 33 degrees for a high temperature in -- -- And over in Chicago 32 degrees temperatures will actually -- Dropping out here processing area as we head into next several days we're gonna have another cold front swing on through.

And by the end of this week on Friday so the work week.

We're going to be seeing a high temperature as low as just thirty degrees in places like New York -- again continuing to see those temperatures.

On a downward trend it is January back to reality here across the area.

We do -- -- a boundary that's continuing to produce areas of showers and heavier rain across portions of the mid Atlantic that includes you across Washington DC.

And also Baltimore during the overnight hours.

In places like New York City had to do with some rain it's moved -- but most of the moisture associate with this storm system will actually retreat asked -- heading -- later on -- into tonight.

And we could be looking at another round of precipitation but this time in the form of snow because temperatures will be holding up you could be looking anywhere between three to six inches of snow across interior sections of the northeast.

So that means Pennsylvania upstate new York and even into portions.

New -- -- so again highs and a amounts should be around six inches otherwise -- -- areas and some of those bigger than any five cities like Philadelphia New York City Boston mean you could be looking at a little bit of a wintry mix.

Billy can you just -- really on the rain side of that storm system but.

Not expecting to see any significant snowfall accumulations are pretty much any -- -- humiliation.

Across places like New York City and up and -- coastal areas.

Of Connecticut and also Massachusetts otherwise again interior sections get ready as we head into tonight and into your Wednesday morning can be a bit of a rough commute with some snowfall on the ground.
