Hello there I'm meteorologist Janice Dean taking a look at your temperature is across Mississippi River valley of the Ohio valley the Tennessee valley.
Snow in Dixie in this morning over an inch of snow in Mississippi we could see anywhere from one to four inches.
Across portions of the deep south a fairly rare -- temperatures are going to go up throughout the day.
But as you can see still a little cool -- Jackson 49 -- 49 in Tulsa 43 Kansas City 45 in Nashville.
52 in Atlanta forty not a rally.
And as the day progresses.
Cold air is gonna sink southward some some of that rain is going to turn it over.
In -- snow so they -- -- -- radar over the last twelve hours you can see the snow flying across Mississippi.
Yes in some cases one to four inches of snow.
Typically we see some snow across the south in the wintertime but to see this amount of snow only happens once every few years so this is up pretty big event for them.
Across the Ohio River valley across the appellation that's -- were also gonna see some snow totals -- -- Throughout the day today so there's your future -- -- fairly quick moving system as we go throughout the day today we'll see those snow accumulations moving up towards the -- relations.
Just south of the DC area of Virginia Beach you could get some snow as well so.
Some rare snow for the south is gonna continue throughout the day but as we get into the weekend things will clear out temperatures will be on the chilly side now.
