Don't you dare disagree with President Obama has -- plan.
There will be pundits and politicians and special interest lobbyists publicly warning of -- to read too radical all out assault on liberty.
-- because that's true.
But because.
There want to gin up fear or higher ratings or revenue for themselves.
And behind the scenes they'll do everything they can't.
The block any common sense reform and make sure nothing changes whatsoever -- ahead.
-- to react as Republican senator from the great state of Florida Marco -- where it is in the morning is that what you're doing just trying to gin up now here on the contradict there's a Second Amendment I didn't write the constitution it's in there and I believe -- it.
And so if -- -- going to do anything that impacts -- better make some sense and here's the problem that I have by the president its own admission.
The things that they're putting forward would have done nothing to prevent what happened for example in Connecticut now I've got four children I've got my own four children.
And I'm deeply worried about this like everyone I was outraged by what happened Connecticut and I want -- I'm for anything the protect the Second Amendment Rights of law abiding people to bear arms.
And at the same time would prevent a horrible things like this from happening again but I think the point that they're missing.
Is this is not about guns this is about violence and we really should be focused on is what is creating this violence in our culture what is going on behind -- -- movies well it's a cup probably it's not one for -- there's a lot of different things going on.
But we need to have an answer for that before we jump -- and start passing laws.
At the end of the day laws are only followed by law abiding people a criminal doesn't really care what the law is because because they're criminals by definition they violate and ignore the law this.
Really about mental illness too when I think about the last three match shootings and -- and I -- -- in.
Tucson and thinking about the movie guy out in Colorado and I'm thinking about this most recent -- Connecticut it all comes out that they.
Reportedly have mental illness and they were meeting with psychiatrists.
Who according to the way the laws are currently on the books probably can expose them as much as they'd like to or have them committed.
Well some of them are about that others are about criminals that are willing to use guns others are about desensitization.
Desensitize -- Being desensitize the violence.
All of these things that are going on our culture and look at -- and there's probably more I'm -- claim to be an expert as to why the violence going -- our society but that's the point.
Where we need to because policy makers need to take a very careful look at all these factors.
And figure out what we can do in the law to change it and then also the lightest things you can't do anything about it in law it's a cultural issue that we have to deal with -- parents.
As teachers neighbors as citizens still as -- as senator rubio you were disappointed that the -- is taking action -- -- -- -- -- he's -- I think the actions are misguided this idea that somehow we're gonna pass all these laws that by the -- look here here's my point.
The impetus for all of this is the shooting in Connecticut right that's what led to this yet and yet nothing he's proposing would have prevented Connecticut.
So what it appears to me like is this the stuff they've always wanted to do.
And now this is created the political climate to pursue it and it's not gonna solve the problem from Washington DC at some of the strictest gun laws in the country and when they pass them.
Violent Scott -- have a military style assault weapon.
The -- -- didn't Adam -- -- a military style assault weapon doesn't the president while out of the problem that is this first of all the for the -- are you define assault -- some of the stuff they define as assault weapon.
It's not necessarily a military style weapons and that's the problem with the sort of things that the -- he actually used as one that's one of the most common guns in America.
And what it wasn't his right and if that wasn't his it was his mother and his colleagues he wants to get rid of the Second Amendment.
Look I have questions about whether he's truly committed to the Second Amendment as I understand that most Americans would understand it I don't think yes the political courage to admit that but ultimately I'm not worried and try to repeal the Second Amendment in terms of in law is.
I don't think they're going to do that I do think however that -- they don't fully understand the Second Amendment and how it's supposed to apply they are willing to test.
And they're willing to just -- -- you know how -- -- how much they can infringe upon -- and my problem with that is.
That you're gonna do that in exchange for policies that don't work right well the next -- for his legislation his descendants would be voting on something very differently only so Larry doesn't.
