Organizers say the gathering will focus on promoting measures to get the world economy out of crisis mode.

Also Wednesday secretary of state Hillary Clinton is set to testify before a senate panel about last year September 11 attack on the US mission and -- -- The attack left four Americans dead including the US Libyan ambassador.

Thursday Massachusetts Senator John Kerry will appear before fellow members of the foreign relations committee for his confirmation hearing to be secretary of state.

Gary is expected to win a speedy confirmation from the committee and the senate.

Friday after a four year ten year Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner will step down from his position.

White House chief of staff Jacob Lew has been nominated to take Geithner place.
