There -- so leading conservative Charles Krauthammer are now saying that president Obama's inaugural address was a quote reaffirmation.

Of his liberal ideologies.

-- Charles said.

I think what's most dangerous things that Obama.

Basically is declaring the end of reaganism in his speech.

This speech today was an ode to big government he was -- -- to be.

He said number one I'm gonna defend what liberalism has achieved the twentieth century.

-- you mentioned social security and Medicare and Medicaid so I'm not gonna let any of that be chipped away.

And then second he said the vision for the future.

-- climate change and green energy is going to be his new expansion of liberalism.

In the new century.

Joined now by some former democratic campaign manager and co host of the five and Mary Katharine Ham editor at large at hot -- dot com and Fox's contributor will be guys second inning could have -- five for yeah -- citizen three.

On the what are you about that what Charles said well.

I mean you something you said about him and -- is going to be a Reagan said that the problem is not is government paralyzed and is such a solution.

And yet government very regularly years grew -- and not a sales of our -- cut.

But listen is this is a fundamental difference certain people believe the government doesn't do anything for people on -- ought to be just defense.

And those of us on the left believe the government has an important role to play.

He did not say chip away -- -- -- by the way -- -- with all due respect -- he's wrong about that.

He didn't say -- to -- nobody he will change entitlements it's gonna have to happen.

So I think that's not a -- say the same but as far as liberals vs Georgia.

That's right.

And end and that it -- he said it reaffirmed our position you're right we won the election that's.

Sit out about it and I am very excited jumped -- -- kids eat very little discussion about the economy very little discussion about jobs when -- talking about climate change about.

It you know am I living in the same.

We -- world in terms of what's going on because you know you can you -- -- -- about climate change -- and talk about the environment an important issue there's no doubt but is that a priority issue.

When you're doing you know what attacking a finite space of the inaugural address is that really where you wanna spend your capital right -- -- -- I think he likes to give an overarching speech she likes to -- a pretty speech that sort of tries to lay down some historical markers I think that was maybe more the point of this.

I think he feels a little bit unleashed to be more liberal he's generally better at counting things and more centrist turns even -- I think his beliefs are liberal.

And when it comes to climate change -- the economy and jobs it didn't feel like that was a gaping hole even if even if for instance are not so concerned about the debt which many Americans are -- sometimes -- in -- second in their concerns.

But certainly economy and jobs were not mentioned a lot -- -- -- if the 8% are almost 8% unemployment is okay and the eight million fewer people in the job market is okay and we're moving on to bigger things change is pretty far down a -- it just would take that unleashed.

It is if we're bunch of dogs are tied down those those yes that's exactly so event -- So -- -- -- that's fair -- -- little -- I think that when it was Obama I'm down genetic he would feel of course unfettered now that he doesn't have to face election again you know he can't sort of lay out.

He is is that's just another regular you know what I'm passionate about this because if -- if if the president is going to embrace you know sort of the an entitlement society and government society where government is here to help right.

Which isn't exact opposite of what Ronald -- and he said that was the greatest oxymoron ever write him -- the government -- -- here to help you so -- plastic case you have to look back at how successful that has been how successful has the government helping people -- and you look at unemployment look at unemployment among minorities right.

This raises a question let's look at this program and this way of thinking and ask ourselves -- this lifted people up has this genuinely helped.

People to prosper in the.

Country -- the decision whether unemployment in mind when you're giving your second and last major inaugural speech right.

You don't race.

-- topics and that's one thing I'm not surprised he didn't do what I would have done it either but it was obviously a glaring hole the people who look at and -- once decision about unemployment.

But what is the government doing to help what does it -- -- to -- -- -- highway system every major high tech company in this country owes the federal government their existence.

Because of the Internet.

There -- they don't have enough and we have opened up -- millions of jobs because of the space program.

Well I mean it's a chicken and egg thing because private enterprise you know ended up prospering based on that the growth of railroads in this country and technology in this country and so many of those companies now on Mary Katharine win on -- feel like all I wanna do right now is get as small as they possibly can so that they'll be able to survive but I think isn't.

If I -- -- the president's worth a false choice between just going it alone as the president sort of implies that people like me only want people to do things by themselves ever.

And the other option is.

The most giant federal government -- could possibly have -- They're learning going anywhere as you said it got bigger during -- okay so we're not what I'm getting down to that point what we can do is say.

Well there are certain groups like churches and civic organizations and state governments that can do things better in fact sometimes from the federal government.

And relying entirely on that often doesn't work as I've noticed for the past four years and perhaps.

Low income folks and black and Hispanic students in inner city schools where being entirely state run in liberal union run project a public schools is failing them mostly.

You hear from North Carolina -- that you can actually have a good education system gotten there I'm not sure I would nationally trotted -- -- -- -- -- respect our friends in Mississippi but.

You know the -- is a good question you -- to the federal government gave the land of the rare roast him on the railroad across United States I mean.

This is this guy I wrote a false choice but the false choices and the government doesn't do anything good -- -- ever say that.

Know -- up -- where your mouth and you will let you probably more you find out I'm gonna toward him out.

About a very -- we -- sure to work you guys I want.

Hey here's an amount and and it's going to be exactly just don't -- you are what I don't we come back here to the sat I would usually -- an effective.

Because they give -- sixty seconds notice from the -- it was really good aliens and.

The -- -- very or not I can't even break -- -- -- you're Georgia girl you're North Carolina went to school in Georgia and go dogs aren't.

Ninety you're from Ohio it's -- about laughing back you'll see in the commercial and -- --
