We go off to the West Coast and we're gonna get up LA it's Friday it's the end of the fox lifestyle show and that news we're gonna squeeze in some -- talk.

-- always good to see you on a Friday and I understand it's time to talk about the 2012 golden tomato a war.

Well yes it is the new movies in theaters think this weekend on though.

My dad January gets a rap for being a time when studios dump bad movies in the theaters.

And it's because of weekends like this you wanna talk about those really questionable.

Now let's let's talk about what's happening this weekend get get that -- -- all that movie is is Hansel -- on this list.

Yes yes it is unfortunately so we'll start with Parker that's the new movie from Jason state -- and Jennifer Lopez.

I director like Taylor Hartford is a really good director.

But this move we not so good you know it's it's kind of a server it would be otherwise -- serviceable.

Action movie.

But the story line that involves.

So really it's only about 23% of the tomato meter which is pretty rotten that I got a -- that 23% that's the best score of the weekend so far.

You mentioned Hansel and rattled that movie is doing very badly only about 11% -- estimated meter.

This is a modern update of the classic fairy tale stars Jeremy Renner and to have a harder time.

It's really not very good it's got no style to -- it's needlessly violent they go for a hard.

But without -- of the -- that you would see something like underworld.

I didn't hear from this movie -- all need to -- critics and like I said it's 11%.

Than the last one that's out this weekend is movie 43 which is a sketch comedy movie.

Kind of overseen by director Peter -- this actually has a lot of different directors there's a framing story involving Dennis Quaid as -- down and out when we producer.

Who is pitching different film ideas to Greg -- and our property common.

And so you see some of these ideas.

Sketched out in the film with actresses like Kate Winslet and Halle Berry had some really top notch actors like Hugh Jackman.

And Gerard Butler unfortunately this movie was not only.

Not screened for critics but for those people who do junkets the entertainment journalist that would be talking to some of the actual talent they would let the entertainment journalist see it either so they let no -- see this movie.

We have hardly any reviews but when they hired a movie like that that's a pretty bad side.

Absolutely -- -- I I was really curious to talk to this weekend because I that Hansel and Gretel trail our end of the premieres -- -- commercials for it.

It's liking your voice your home watching TV if -- -- go see it it's coming to see you I mean they have been doing.

A lot of campaigning for this I was curious that that's scary if that movie forces -- way it's terrible you don't wanna see it okay.

Good to know and then let's let's talk about what is happening with the golden tomato winners.

Because you've got a lot of things on here and I know a lot of myself included I haven't gotten out to see a lot of the movies that are up for Oscars I wanted to cram it all land.

What what can we expect with the -- to yes.

OK so the gold sales are up on our site rotten tomatoes dot com it's there it's the awards we -- out movies that are best reviewed from 2012.

And we pick winners and -- -- -- we pick a winner overall for the biggest wide release.

The best reviewed wide release of the year was -- directed by Ben Affleck.

Which shouldn't really be a surprise -- did very well on our tomato meter -- 96%.

As I mentioned before we also do genre awards so the best reviewed action adventure film goes to sky -- -- 92%.

Best reviewed comedy film is a movie called birdie which starred Jack black and -- that was awful lot of people's radar.

That's a -- that's one really worth checking out that's -- 91%.

Best animation is a movie called secret world of area -- he Japanese film that was really good.

-- and we've got this best drama that was a Shakespeare adaptation called Corey -- The best horror movie was cabin in the woods which is a fantastic great -- co written by -- Sweden.

Of -- fame best romance was -- -- kingdom the latest Wes Anderson film.

Best scifi fantasy was looper which I think we talked about a few months back that's a really great -- And lastly best comic book movie is -- the avengers.

We actually have physical awards -- going to be giving to all of these directors so.

We hope to be having an event a couple weeks -- I'll have to share some pictures with you for the event.

Well I would love that I would love that for next week and really quick before I let you go I gotta make it quick.

-- boldly tomato award the worst -- what was it.

That was a thousand words which comes at at the perfect story zero.

With about forty or fifty reviews that that was Eddie Murphy movie.

That shouldn't have ever been released that movie -- -- release of the state.

Actually -- actually was -- -- one day and I did watch it.

-- -- I did I did watch it and I I have for a minute I thought it was going to be good that.

I might have to agree with us some of those.
