An American woman missing.

And the search is on we're learning her life may be in danger she's a mom of two children from New York City.

And as far as anybody knows she vanished without a Trace in Turkey.

33 year old so -- Sierra was on a vacation by herself she left New York for Istanbul on January 7.

But never made it back home her family last heard from her the day she was supposed to leave.

-- call United Airlines when you know she and showed up in the airport.

And they stated that she didn't she didn't board the -- you don't know what to think you don't know what to believe.

You know what to expect you know what's gonna come out of this.

Police found her clothing and -- -- in her hotel room her family fears the worst as you might imagine.

And now we understand members of the family are headed to Turkey -- try to find her and -- -- Spoke with some of the family members just a short time ago she joins me now so what are they telling you this.

Whole -- -- just in pieces -- the last time anyone saw authorized Thierry.

Was Monday night leaving her Istanbul hostel for dinner.

And -- -- husband Stephen tells -- the US embassy is now involved in the investigation.

And he is headed to Turkey tonight to meet with US officials as well as local authorities there.

So rise brother David -- -- as -- making the trip to.

This is also surreal.

And so I don't know what to expect I don't know.

You know.

What we're getting into.

-- knows what I'm hoping.

And domino wanna hold onto that hope that when I find my wife.

-- bringing her home.

-- family members say the Sierra is a photographer and went to Turkey -- take pictures in to soak up the culture there.

She would Skype with her nine and eleven year old boy daily and send text messages to family and friends.

And the last one was to her sister that was Monday morning.

Sierra was originally planning -- come home Tuesday January the 25.

But she missed her family -- pushed for flight -- to the 22 but when Steven went to the airport to pick her up.

Here she never showed up it's a little third -- Turkey doing to try to help find her.

Right well Turkish police there they're telling the family to their checking.

Local urgent care senators and police precincts and that they posted pictures of her around the area where she vanished.

They remain optimistic about finding her and family members are trying to stay positive -- while.

I'm going to -- -- is very challenging not just myself the whole family.

You know you you do you don't have an appetite you know you don't about it you can mislead you wake up crying.

You know your your mind is all over the place.

But even still -- you know despite all that you you have a whole -- You know -- and you and you and you hold onto that hope.

How across our fingers formed to Stephen Sierra tells me that their kids are staying with family while he is in Turkey.

And he tells me that they don't know their mother is missing they know something is wrong because they haven't spoken to her but they're trying to keep them entertained and you know which is hoping for the best.

It's so hard because they have been in contact with her those little daily anticipating as everybody else is that she's going to be OK and I thank you very much.
