On his watch.

This is kind of you know looks like she doesn't have much to say he doesn't have much to offer and that's okay.

My job is to protect the public to give the public -- for information that they need to be honest with them to be straightforward them.

And let them make those decisions.

Sheriff did this come about because of these shootings in recent history at the schools and that sort of thing or were you going to do this no matter what.

Well the burglaries and robberies have been going on in the Milwaukee -- they're going on for quite some time.

At some point especially with the two -- scaling back of public safety resources last year I had to lay off 42 sheriff's deputies.

The city of Milwaukee police department.

Fur load for this year 15100 officers three days -- that's 4500.

Fewer.

Officer days.

That you know days of -- -- -- spent on the streets.

While the crime continues to go on a moment calls for service continue to come in.

So there's a breaking point at some.

You know at some point and again it's my obligation.

In light -- that I could -- back to whine about the fact that we don't have the resources and that we can get their quickly.

Or -- can better prepare the public give them some options.

And that's why I mentioned is these these safety.

Of course because that's a critical element of -- is going to use of firearm if you're going to have one you better -- -- Sheriff Clark -- it is your advice just for the people in your county or would it be applicable to people all across the country.

Well on the -- from Milwaukee coming that's where my responsibility.

Begins and ends.

And as for other people others serve so the police chiefs and others to take a look at what's going on.

And a landscape is different -- although there are some -- and urban areas Milwaukee's an urban area.

But they have to make those determinations I do what's best for my constituents are -- by -- card junior Milwaukee County sheriff in Wisconsin.
